So your saying the holes closer to the surface don't make much difference then am unmodified tub with a lid cocked? Interesting. I kinda just assumed having holes down low would be better for the mushies but what do I know I'm a noob lol!

I may be wrong, but I think convection caused by heat from the light keeps the air in the unbodifieds churning, whilst maintaining maximum humidity without supplementing water content (i.e. misting or bottom watering)

I'm at day 6, things are colonizing nicely, I hope. I was thinking of flipping the lid as it seems to fit well inside the wide range of 50%-90% colonized. I will be gone for a week.

All good to lid flip and go fishing for a week?

Prolly back just in time for harvest!

Just pull them as they near maturity, the sub will keep producing: even if it's not in distinct "flushes"... especially MS... and I've read you can print a mushroom that hasn't broke veil yet, but I think the general consensus is to let it open up until you see a slight blue (looks black sometimes) dusting on the stipe just below the cap, but before it sporesplodes! They look kind of wet, and may need a little more air,but it's fruit!Looking good man, looking good

Hey... you're producing something, you're getting there... relax! Is this a dub tub,  in a SGFC (doesn't look like unbodified)? How far/what type of lighting? May be wrong, but seems if the top is dry, but the bottom is wet ,may be too much air or heat from light? It's tedious, but once you're dialed in, you're golden

Not my tek, but I use it, and mycelium is mycelium no matter the tek... looks pretty healthy to me, how long since spawning?

I'd say you're golden... I usually walk away from mine until day 6... usually lol... I'm just anal, checking a lot, obsessing about it... seems they appreciate a little space though

It's fluffy, looks pretty wet? I think they yellow it's metabolites, how's your FAE? I'd maybe rotate the lid 90 for a while, keeping an eye on it... doesn't seem too concerning, 20 days since spawning, or fruiting? Either way, not too awful long, especially if conditions aren't quite dialed in... perhaps fighting a bit of bacteria, but I think a little air would go a long way... I'm totally just guessing based on my understanding thus... fairly noobish myself

20 days from spawn the temps arn't ideal mid 60s so I'm guessing that is slowing things down a bit. I'm away from it like 24 hours at a time so I have the lid at 45 degrees now hoping that helps. I haven't been misting it much at all like 1-2 squirts every other day but perhaps my moisture was off in the beginning. I did one brick coir 650g with 4qrts water per the bucket tek. I'll check it again after work today maybe open the lid up more.

Consider a colonization period of 10 days, and fruiting conditions  (after FULL colonization) for 10... 12 days in fruiting before pins is fairly common...  just breathe man!

Why coir-only?  I'm still unclear on why some do just coir and why some add vermiculite.

Vermeculite serves for water retention ...  some believe it easier to maintain surface conditions... same with gypsum, or a casing... necessity will largely depend on your climate (temperature, ambient humidity)

Once dialed in using his "seemingly advanced technique" of turning the lid etc, it can be quite "set and forget"... I find that flipping the latches up, and letting the lid sit right-side-up is a nice go between, between flipping lid, and rotating 90°
