Is it worth buying? I have only watched some of the gameplay, and I cant make up my mind... Has anyone played it so far?

Well, I downloaded a cracked version to try it out. But it seems it must be such a shitty game since no one here is talking about it.. So..

I watched a little bit of gameplay of it and IMO it looks like the other Might and Magic Heroes games just newer and shinier. I imagine if you liked previous games style of play then you will like this one as this series has always had a very specific style to it.
I had a lot of fun a long long long long time ago with the very first heroes of might and magic games that came out, but have not played any since then so its been almost 20 years.

its getting bad ratings, disappointing really. the graphics and animations seem pretty low rent.
i also agree heroes is a genre that doesn't require 3d, maybe it will get patched up nicely but yea... ill wait.

So... I've been playing it for few days. Started off with a Necromancers campaign.. got to the third map. Since it was bigger one, I spent like 7-8hrs just on it. Objective was to capture a town, and as I got to it, final battle was't that difficult, except for a huge bug which prevented defending hero to die. Sick. I tried like 10 times to kill him, and after all my victories it was like nothing happened.
Also, there were some bugs, that were annoying a bit, but didnt stop me from progressing. I tried loading, restarting a game, but then it would just crash.
If anyone cares to try this game, which I find to be ok (except bugs and shit), dont bother yet.

was hoping to come back to some positive ratings but not so
age of wonders 3 is still really fun and semi similar to heroes if anyone is interested.
as for the necros above, zounds of skeletons is the best way.

Heroes 1-3 are the only good ones. There is also a strong modding community .
Heroes 2 In the wake of gods is pretty awesome and free if you own HOMM2
