They shouldn't smell bad. Sounds like you may have a bacterial infection. You can still put them outside and they may do ok.

Well im saying it taste bad because it doesn't smell like cube Myc, or is it supposed too? I've heard multiple people say pinks don't smell very good
EDIT:
I didn't even think about setting up lights for them.. Im assuming they run on a 12:12 light schedule right?

Pink oysters shouldn't smell bad. As far as taste, they're more bland than other oysters, but they don't really taste bad either. It sounds like you've got a contam.
You should definitely set up a lighting schedule. 12/12 will work.

I thought they were contamed from the yellow stuff on the tops of the jars, but it did look like metabolites I guess. Never grown from lc so maybe that's why
Should I take the, out of the trash bags they are colonizing in? The bag is slightly open and the lids are propped
EDIT: Good news guys, one of the buckets is pinning, the other isn't. Im not sure why the other isn't, but from what I can tell the mycelium growing inside both looks generally the same. I would assume they would've pinned at about the same time but the other might be behind a little bit. I didn't really want to take them out of the bags they are in inside my house but will tomorrow so I can get a better view of the other one.
should I put the one that's pinning outside for fresh air?

Mushrooms do what they want. So one might pin now, and the other may take a week longer. You never know. You can put the pinning one outside, just make sure to mist several times a day, and don't put it in direct sunlight.

interesting.
When you say misting, i assume you mean take the lid off and mist the top as well as the holes where its pinning.

Just the pins. Leave the top on to keep the moisture inside

Mist the bags and fruits. Don't open the bags up and spray the substrate. Once the bags are flushed out you can try hydrating the substrate again by hosing down the substrate.

Bags? I thought we're talking about buckets.

oh yea bucket, yea pop the lid and hose er down then let it drain after 2-3 flushes. Also i would like add i've recently moved away from buckets, they are harder to get pinset, pain to clean, and you can't see contams. The pinset is what did it for me. Now i use bags.

gotcha guys
Ive put it outside in the shade, so it can get fresh air. Im planning on misting it maybe once or twice a day, hopefully more pins pop up, and hopefully the other bucket starts pinning soon, if not since it sbeen about 10 or 11 days im going to dump it out. Made LC anyways,.
Gonna start pearl oysters as well, gonna look into using bags as well, what do you guys use for reference s far as technique for bags?

I'm lazy, so I use Lipa's PFP Tek. But not for pinks. They didn't seem to like the wood shavings. Works really well for lion's mane though. And am just now trying it with kings and blues. What are the current temps outside where you are?

Pearl oyster and lion's mane would do really well at those temps.

colonized jars can store for weeks if not months in a fridge. Ive let colonized spawn sit in the jar for a week or two, typically you will see invitro pinning after a while but its still usable spawn.

oh i mis read. LC's, agar plate/slants, jars just about any culture can and should be stored in a fridge.
Pinks have a mild flavor, mostly takes on whatever you cook them with. They can be a tad bit tougher than browns and blues but the nice thing is they have almost no stem. With the temps cooling down you should only be growing pinks for a few more weeks before swapping to blues or other cold weather crops.
What do you plan on fruiting in?
