It's their choice to not be successful. Anyone who lives in America can be successful if they try. If you don't try hard enough, that's your own fault.

No. But I do think a firefighter should make a pretty decent buck (Don´t know if they do in the US), as should nurses, mental health workers, cleaners, garbage men, gardeners, etcetera etcetera.
dewd theres no money in the buget to pay firefighters or teachers a decent buck. we needed to buy tanks guns n shit for police. most fire departments dont even require training. most of them are alcoholics and jus sit around half the time neway. come on dewd get real here paying firefighters would cost a FUCK LOAD

You should care because, God forbid morality, that shittiness is taking money out of your pocket and dimming your nation's prosperity.
There is something you can do about it: Support policies which reduce the burdens of the working class by putting them (back) on the rich.

What sort of policies has any candidate besides trump proposed that will do that? The bernout IMO wants to just steal from the rich and flat out give it to the poor in the form of government issued entitlements. Policies that would actually help (like a 0% income tax on the poor) are rejected by the left, yet they claim to be "for the poor."
I realize that the poor are a net drain on the country, but giving them free social programs paid for by the rich and middle class isn't the answer. Setting the poor up to empower themselves without social programs is the answer IMO.

The unskilled/uneducated workers had very strong employment opportunities in the past, that isn't the case today.
It would be nice to walk into Cleveland, Baltimore, or a 100 different cities across the US and say to the unemployed people, "go walk down the street and look at the "help wanted" sign outside of XYZ corporation" and you can start work tomorrow!! There was a time in America when that was the case.

Then again, from canada, I'm totally biased because we are an exporting nation and the TPP is amazing for us

Meanwhile, gold is down, palladium is "OK", silver is +/- $1-1.50 US.
Let's see how interesting this gets.

It's not good for any developed nation, mixing with third world slave labor economies is big trouble.
