Politicians take donations from Big Money in return for favors once in office. Trump funds himself and doesn't take donations from Big Money, therefore he won't need to dish out any favors. Trump is losing money by focusing on his campaign rather than business affairs. He isn't gaining anything from running other than public recognition which he already had plenty of. Trump's intentions seem genuine IMO.

A reality TV star who constantly makes controversial comments to make headlines? He is definitely after recognition. Pay a little more attention to the news.

Well, nothing I can say to that. No wonder you trust him.
Me, I don't have any faith in his pollitical abilities, and his sense of business is wonky, man. Can you imagine Trump dealing with the retarded ass senate? And he would have been broke from some of his business ventures if he didn't have a huge load of daddy's money to fall back on.
But yeah, this is something we can all argue about until we see blue in the face.

Nearly all successful businessmen inherit money. Trump would be able to deal with the Senate better than obama would IMO.

I see the usual crowd is bad mouthing trump but they have no hero to support so they just knock everyone. How can even the most retarded liberal support hill-billy? Yet many do. Those with no brain just look for the d or r and vote accordingly, those with some sense are going with burnout and those with a lot of sense are going with trump.
Constantly griping that nothing will help, that the 1% will always win and that nothing will change (asante) is not helping. We have a historic opportunity to support someone not part of the traditional establishment. I speak of course about trump. He is a rino, republican in name only which is a good thing. The tea party may hate him, liberals hate him but the common man likes what he offers.
Bernout, on the other hand is a long time dem supporter, a knee jerk liberal and avowed socialist. While he is better than any of the other dem candidates and better than most gop candidates, he is a poor second choice. He will continue the handouts, special breaks for special people, unions, special countries, etc. He has raised some $28M so he is not totally independent as trump is. He owes his backers no matter what he may say about it. He has not said he will stop the flood of refugees or throw out the illegal immigrants we have already. His big solution is to raise the min wage. Yeah, that will fix everything won't it?
If you think the economy is bad now, check back in a few months.

I find it amazing that the only criticisms of Bernie are either ad hominem or outright falsehood.
Stoney calls him a burn out, yet also somehow knee-jerk. He's had a consistent message for his 30 year political career.
And somehow puts the big money shadow on Bernie instead of Trump! Bernie's average campaign contribution is $25, and Trump is a god damn billionaire.
If there's a legitimate criticism of Sanders' agenda I'd like to hear it voiced so it can be addressed, not veiled in some hollow and baseless attack.

Well didn't the WSJ estimate his plans to cost $18 trillion? That seems like a legitimate criticism to me.

There was a follow up explaining why that article is garbage, let me find the link and I'll edit it in.
Edit: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2015/09/15/no-bernie-sanders-is-not-going-to-bankrupt-america-to-the-tune-of-18-trillion/
Basically, by creating infrastructure jobs, streamlining healthcare, and raising the minimum wage, Sanders is actually saving Americans money.
The article puts it more eloquently than I can, it's a quick read.

no you don't get it.
you're thinking as if you're a like-minded individual to Trump and that you and him could like pull the USA out of some "doom" financial and immigration policy, but he's just pandering to you so he can do what every president does; what's necessary to make them successful. you really don't think he'll get raped in the metaphorical asshole if he doesn't do what PEOPLE want him to do, that is his job afterall; and you think it's THE PEOPLE as in YOU who make the decisions...no, first you have to fight about whatever it is you wanna change, but you're still only at the democratic bottom wrung of effecting the decisions and outcomes; no, more importantly it's corporate interests, that will fuck him over if he doesn't cooperate, and rail-road his promises, and either make him resign or make him fold on the issues that effect the bottom line of major money makers of your country. the best he CAN do is soften the blow, and make some kind of shitty reform (or leave it for THE NEXT president to clean up), and that's it. you think the United States Congress is going to let him fuck up the entire country's Geopolitical and International Relations and market; and do you think that Trump actually cares about you? after ALL THAT SHIT, you think he cares about YOU? you're a number to him. you are the lowest common denominator of his calculations; he only wants to try to persuade the Senate to give America some life support because he wants the prestige and when all is said and done YOU will simply have helped to do what he will to make ends meet ONLY for himself. if he holds himself to his word, there'll only be more problems, and then what will he do? he'll either make things harder for himself and everyone else, or he'll meet only meager expectations and try and get the most out of it, like any sane rational human being, disregarding any mistakes that might be made on his part.
it's a JOB.
he isn't you or America's knight in shining armor.
he can be an effective president only by MEAGER STANDARDS.
i'll eat a pubic-hair peanut butter sandwich if Trump stays liked in the polls and meets his goals and makes America better to the standard you expect.
