He is though.
Remind me did Jordan pull down a triple double a night and dominate all positions?
LBJ currently has 1 triple double this year. 40 for his career. Magic had over 130 and Oscar over 170.
Again dude, fucking stop.

He really only has one? Crazy. I guess its hard to play and be coach at the same time though.
Elax, do you really think us young guys have any say in this goat talk? We haven't seen enough of those old school players to make that call.

I've seen lebron and I've seen Jordan
Lebron is the better athlete and person. Dude treats away fans with tons of class, and is a classy dude in general. Too many people like arrogance, I think it has something to do with pop culture. That's what goat means to me. It's gonna be different for everybody but history will likely be very kind to LBJ. Dude grew up on tv too. I remember him on sport enter when he was hammer dunking in HS.
In current news:
Jazz 7 game win streak came back from 15 down to win with a buzzer beater in OT!
I wish the Jazz played in the eastern conference it's like shit 6-7-8 seeds are all more likely than not gonna get swept in the west

I want to see GS for a couple of games at home. I do not care if they are blowouts they are an entertainment and their swagger/confidence is fun to watch. Though if the Jazz get the 8th seed will probably be 50-1 odds of them winning the series.

If they don't make the Eastern Finals it's back to the drawing board. There's no point in staying in that 2nd round playoff elimination rut year after year.

This isn't about the NBA. I can't find the college BB forum.
So Louisville got caught and suspend themselves from the conference and NCAA tourney. They had one of those sex deals, where top recruits are introduced to girls from the school (I'm guessing not average looking) and reportedly things go on, which I don't think is a positive outcome thing like hookers, but frequently ends in sex, at least that is my guess on how this works.
Rick Pitino says he can't believe something like this happened, which is a lie, but no worse than anybody else's lies. Most stupidly, Mike and Mike said this was an amazing incident. Who would say something this stupid on TV.
This is completely common, almost universal at big budget programs. Spending over a decade at a Big 10 school, which had only a couple really big years, but no National Championship, I have to say this. I can't believe anybody saying that this story was mind blowing.
I'm trying to think of the programs (I mean the ones who can make millions of dollars if they win), who would not do this?; I have some confidence in BYU, Notre Dame really makes me wonder. Liberty University, yeah but they're no good anyway.
Why is this a story or a scandal when almost all big programs do this? I understand, prostitution is different than the coach buying the kid a plane ticket, but this is more common.

Yeah
I was thinking we need college basketball thread started at least for the tourney
Totally agree with everything you said. In my opinion, Louisville just fell victim to a non-story that happened to gain traction. They bring in the recruits and the girls want to see them and nature takes its course. Some of the girls REALLYwant to meet the hot shot recruits so they can get first dibs on them so they start asking around about it. Once an introduction is made it's already over. But it shouldn't be a violation to introduce two people who want to meet. And by the way, people fuck in Provo same as anywhere else.

Is it established that they actually were prostitutes?

At my school they were called "hostesses" and I think it was all by mutual agreement, but Louisville being a National powerhouse could have been a little too organized about it. What if you had a good prospect who was a 6th or 7th man, and he wasn't too good looking, but you wanted him coming off your bench and not somebody else's. You might want to make it a sure thing. This thing can go any ware from organizing dances and parties to braining in real hookers. I agree with TheFakeSunRa That a lot of these girls were looking for first dibs on a potential star or millionaire and it was really more of natural selection, but it does get organized by the Athletic Dept, and if you are in a nonrevenue sport you have to find your own chicks.

Golden State still looks 2-1 over San Antonio, OKC or Cleveland, and anybody would prefer to see them at home, but they will get home advantage in the playoffs. I think they will beat the Bulls record.

Steph Curry scored 51 and he had one free throw.
I'm interested in your opinions. Is this just a temporary phenomena, or this a transformation of the NBA. I definitely see them moving the 3 point line back, but will that make any difference.
I think Lebron fits in with the old NBA. He is the worst scorer in the league outside the paint. When I lived and died with pro basketball was the Celtics vs the Lakers in the 80's (when I was in school and had nothing better to do than watch sports). Nobody has ever really argued that Bird, McHale and Parrish were not the greatest front court in history. Is that ever going to matter again, or is it just a backcourt game?

Not for Steph it won't, half court shots are like free throws for the guy.
He went off in that game last night, pretty ridiculous.
