 Have you ever actually met an immigrant who took all the government handouts without needing it? Because honestly, it just seems like you say these things and have no personal experence.

Honestly, everyone I know that uses food stamps, or free healthcare, or anything among these lines actually need it. I have friends who's whole families relied on food stamps to eat on a daily basis. All the adults in the house work full time, and still could barely feed themselves.

I have NO issue with US citizens receiving social services, not ILLEGALS.

The US already has too many poor people, we don't need anymore.

I believe the food stamp program is a good social policy, are there some abuses with it?  Yes, but the positives outweigh the negatives by multiples.

BTW, I don't consider anchor babies and their families as US citizens, they're illegals.

Few things sillier that Americans using "socialism" as a gobstopper in the most inappropriate ways.

It actually is a thing. A big thing.

There are few things sillier than a foreigner critiquing American culture with improper grammar.

It's not evil, but it can be corrupted just like anything in life.

Who already pays too much into the social services?  It's the middle, upper-middle, and lower upper-classes, that's not good for anyone.  The .01% are never going to pay their fair share, that's the problem.

Instead of accepting that, we need to get them to pay their fair share. That's why Bernie Sanders needs to be elected. Because the rich needs to pay their fair share to society.

The Dems are just waiting to see what is going to happen with Hillary.  Then move in at the end and place Joe out there for the vote.  Mark my words.

If the oligarchs are the problem, then how would a (partially) public owned economy not be a viable solution?

The fact that the top .10-1% holds a massive amount of the wealth and income, and as a result they pay a lot of taxes doesn't mean they are paying their "fair share.

We have the largest wealth and income inequality in over 80 years, this isn't a good thing for capitalism.  I'm a capitalist, pointing out its current failures is the only way it can survive in the future.

We will survive no matter who is elected.  Want real change consider Term Limits in Congress.

I'm incredibly torn on this election, there are so many idiots it's not funny. I have a feeling people will want to vote for hillary because she would be the first woman president just like they blindly voted for Obama because he was black. Or people will vote for WHOEVER is against hillary. There's literally t-shirts saying anyone but hillary.

Sanders isn't a terrible choice but I don't think he will win personally.

Your right.  Its a strange election for sure.  Seems like its time for a Third Party to rise up. (not the Tea Party)

It applies even more to massive corporations than just wealthy individuals... which the average us taxpayer subsidizes personally to a tune of 6,000$~ a year..

But we've already established that it exists, and works, in multiple, comparable first world nations. So it's at the absolute least realistic.

If you are an immigrant you should not be allowed in if you don't have a job.  I do believe that it is a prerequisite that you have a job lined up already for legal status.  If you are an illegal you can fucking starve and go back to your shithole of a country that you are a citizen of and demand that THEY take care of you.  We don't need more losers.  We have enough indigenous losers

We have established that it fails.  See Greece.  See Spain.  Whole nations on the dole.
