If anyone could help me find an article regarding the subject of the ancient Inca and use of natuaral hallucinogens I'd really appreciate it. It'll get me some extra credit possibly. *wasn't sure what forum this should go in.

www.google.com searchwords such as: hallucinogenic plants inca authors such as marlena dobkin del rios, tim plowman, r e schultes, peter furst, & quite a few others... plants in & near "inca-land" (peru & nearby places) might include (in addition to coca!) trichocereus cacti, tobacco, vilca, ayahuasca, tropanaceous plants, & no doubt others... ~ "seek & ye shall find" www.erowid.org www.csp.org www.thefane.org www.psychedelic-library.org (y'know, "the usual suspects" .... mmmmkay???)

I think this kid is just lookin for a couple easy extra credit points he can score for school that can just be painstakingly copied from the internet. A 2 hour trip to the library is most likely not even worth the few extra points he is pursuing. I dont have any direct links but for anybody who does, this is what the poster wants. Im sure he knows of the obvious ways of finding information...google, library etc..

Your sort of right....not exactly though. I did do a little searching, didn't come up with anything that would work really though. All I really found were links to buy books and travel sites. I need to find an article, then write a short paper about it and present it in front of the class.....I'll admit I'm a tad lazy, but I'm not THAT bad. It's for a college class by the way, "The Ancient Incas". I found quite a but on the Mayans, but it needs to be specifically the Inca or pre-incan societies.

Do we know this for sure mj? Does the lack of mushrooms being used formally and recorded in official records mean there wern't average inca guys just taking shrooms of their own accord?

Well no it's not for sure, but if they did trip shrooms without any record of it, it certainly doesn't help this guy out. Peace
