Dreaming / overthinking

I know I'm overthinking all this but that's just me. I still haven't done my first mushroom trip yet ( I'm still waiting to get some ) but i am looking forward to it. THe thing is I'm generally a happy person during the day. But at nighttime when I sleep I can usually remember my dreams everyday. They are not good. Usually pretty scary. So scary I am scared to fall back asleep . Another thing is I usually know it's a dream an i pull myself out by waking myself up. Knowing that I know I'm dreaming ( lol ) i unfortuney have no control over the dream. It just takes me wherever it wants. Hence why I wake myself up. So if your still reading, do you think this can have impacts on my trips ? Like I said though when I'm awake during the day I'm pretty happy ( so I think ) . Does anyone have bad dreams at night but still have great trips ? I can't wait to join the psychedelic club but I'm scared of having a 6 to 8 hour nightmare. And if I did, would i at least know this is happening because I have eaten some shrooms ? Or is your mind so gone you forgot you eaten shrooms ?
Thanks for any replies

Ahh they're just dreams they cant hurt you. If you overthink maybe psychedelics aren't for you cause those negative thoughts can really fuck with you when go tripping, I'd say take a higher dose so the visuals will take your mind off your thoughts, I know that helps me weak trips fuck with my head so much. Other thing get yourself a bottle of valium or alike cause if your trip goes bad they'll change that and you'll have an awesome trip.

Sounds like you are not in sync with your uncounscious. Trips can show you a lot and it could not be pretty but it could be beneficial for you.
I would, on the contrary of what Laughingcowwa said, recomment taking a gram or so (of cubes), so you can get the feel for psychs, before doing some serious doses.
Either way, I've never been unaware of taking mushrooms while tripping, so that shoud be fine

Dreams and trips are different. The only common denominator is the surfacing of the subconcious.
The only problem with dreams is that they are highly symbolical and often hard to translate into anything concrete our everyday conciousness can work with.
Shrooms can also throw riddles at you in that sense, but I find them a bit easier to figure out. I'll sometimes have epiphanies where things fall into place and I suddenly conciously know something that had been stirring in my unconciousness for a long time.
So, mushrooms just might give you some insight into the source of these uncomfortable dreams.
I disagree with laughingcowwa's suggestions.
I would start slow with regards to dose. There is really no need to rush into things. Also, I strongly disagree with dulling trips simply because they are uncomfortable. It's a lesson. Don't dampen it with valium or other drugs. Listen to it and suck it up.
You'll be extremely likely to remember that you took the shrooms, especially on a low dose. So there is no need to worry about that.
You'll be fine. Don't rush things and go into it open minded. Be willing to listen to what the mushrooms want to teach you

Look into lucid dreaming. The more control you have in your dreams, the less scary they are. Hell, you eventually get to be a hero quite a lot of the time. I'm not overly lucid but I tend not to have many nightmares any more.
Being happy with yourself, concious and unconscious is a pretty good way to assure good dreams.
