PF Tec Cakes sub-70 temp

Hello all,
I had 4 cakes varying between 40-70% colonization drop below 70 degrees (approx. 66 degrees) for about 24d hours about two days ago. Almost no growth (if any at all) has happened since the sudden dip in temp (heater broke in apartment). My heater isn't being fixed until tomorrow and nowhere in my apartment is warm enough to keep them above the 70 degree threshold. I am using a space heater to keep them warm. Suggestions?

How cold are we talking about here 66 degrees? If so ditch the heater that is fine, they will be ok...that is nowhere near cold enough to stall them.

Yeah about that. It was just strange to see such rapid growth over a period of 7 days and then watch every jar come to a screaming halt when the temp dropped.

Outline the mycelium with a marker and keep an eye on them... see if they progress.

That's not really that strange. Mycelium does grow slower at lower temperatures. It won't stall it by an means but that probably is the reason they slowed.

I'm using 1/2 pint jars. I have some pics I could upload but I'm not confident that I know how to adequately remove EXIF data.

Be confident that no one is going to care about one guy growing a few cakes when some people here advertise that they pull lbs a month
Also to remove EXIF file just open the file in paint and resize it

Problems. I have a heating issue with the boiler in my home and the warmest room in the house is 65 degrees (it shouldn't drop below this). This could persist for the next few days. It appears as if I have two options:
1. Leave the jars the fuck alone.
2. use resources around the home to keep the jars warm.
I have built a contraption to keep the jars between 78-84 F for about 10 hours a day. The remaining hours would be spent in the colder temperatures. I'm hoping that my heat comes back on tomorrow but I am uncertain that it will.
Attached to this thread are 4 pictures documenting the myc growth over the course of a 7 day period and a picture that shows the heating contraption. About 4 days ago, the jars growth slowed to a halt when the temperatures dropped. For two of the days I left them exposed to the elements. The other two days they received the ghetto heating treatment.
I'm very aware that I have made many mistakes along the way. I severely underestimated the amount of commitment involved; spare time was not my friend before I began this endeavor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
