What you said brings to mind something that a "liar" taught me once, which I thought was pretty profound.

Look a painting. I haven't studied painting, but one that has lots of colors, streaks, shades, etc. Modern Art???

Anyways, he said that imagine that the canvas is our world, regardless of who created that world, and each of us is one of those strokes on the canvas.

Some of us are bright splashes, some of us bold strokes, some of are dark shades, some of us are tints, some of us are hues, etc.

Each color, stroke, shade, etc., is different from the other, but without each, the painting wouldn't be perfect.

Keep in mind, there's a lot of crummy painters out there.

But isn't a crummy paint perfect in its own way, too?

Now why you gotta be like that?   I suppose there's hope for you yet...

No one knows the worth of innocence till he knows it is gone forever, and that money can't buy it back. Not the saint, but the sinner that repenteth, is he to whom the full length and breadth, and height and depth, of life's meaning is revealed. Good and evil loose all objective meaning and are seen as equally necessary and contrasting elements in the masterpiece that is the universe.

Love that stuff! Always makes me laugh!
I was just reading an article on conspiracy thoeries and the writer brought up a good point (pretty much the same thing everyone's talking about with the painting metaphor). Poeple will believe anything that supports what they believe in, no matter how strange. The mind is like a scale. There must be balance. But, regretfully people are morons who have to explain everything to death and cannot accept that everything is really a paradox. Everything. If it exists, so does it's opposite, even if it doesn't make sense. You can't wrap your mind around everything and that is the first step to understanding everything. Oh shit I'm confusing myself!

"Never underestimate the potential of the human mind to believe what it wants to believe, no matter the conflicting evedence." Dune books
(I hate it that I have to come to the internet so often to have an intelligent conversation with interesting people!)

Hhm... let's see if we can come up with something...

Well today I made a fire downstairs, and I started thinking about things, watching the flames... I was starting to see the fire as life, and how one can stoke that fire, how one can consciously build upon it, tending to it to keep it going strong... the warmth...

I dunno, maybe it was mindless philosophy, but it was an interesting thing to think about then.. mostly because how fucking cool the flames looked, though.

"Don't take candy from a stranger"... fucking mindless.
Peace.

"There are no absolutes."

"There is no good nor evil."

"Eat liver because it's good for you."

"Shrooms teach you luv, dood."

"Women are easy to please."

"The higher you fly, the deeper you go.  So come on."

"Time heals all wounds."

"It is better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all."

"People are, by nature, good."

"Meat is bad for you."

"You can tell the truth a speaker speaks by the virtue of his character."

And of course the three biggest 'truths':

"The check's in the mail."
"I won't come in your mouth."

I forget the third one.
