Hey guys, I still have all the ingredients to make Shroomer's Paprikash, but I've had the flu for the last few days  Maybe I'll take a crack tonight!

I did manage to make some Tiramisu, last night, from scratch! The homemade ladyfingers did alright, but the cream melted almost immediately, because I don't have an electric mixer (and I fucked up and poured coffee in a lot of things I shouldn't have), but here it is!

ReposadoXochipilli, you are on a roll man! Can I move in with you??!

Haha, and I'd never heard of a "chicken nipple" before...
:lolsy:
Looks delicious though!

I'm not feeling 100% tonight, so I made egg drop soup.  Pour a box of chicken broth in a pot, but save some to the side to stir in a few spoons of cornstarch.  Add vegetables or whatever you'd like.  Add a few dashes of soy sauce and ginger.  Throw in some chopped up green onions if you have them.  Beat a few eggs in a bowl.  I used 3 and that was a little overkill, actually.  Take a few spoons of cornstarch and mix it in the broth you saved.  In the final moments of cooking, add the cornstarch and stir while you add it.  When it starts to thicken up, pour in the egg slowly and keep stirring.  It's done when you've added all the egg.

It's actually a lot easier to make this recipe using chopsticks or bamboo skewers instead of a cooking spoon.

I went kinda plain in this one and added a ton of pepper to maybe help my sinuses stop sneezing.

Cooked some chicken but it smelled a bit rotten so I cooked the shit out of it on the bbq. Gave me the fuel I needed but still.. I just bought the thing from a super market. I'm tired of the shopping mall system.. It results in much worse quality of trade

good chicken is super hard to find, i havn't been eating any for the last 6 months because every other bag either has an off taste to it, or its tough as shit.  I might just start buying whole chickens instead, i imagine those don't have that issue near as often

different states get there food from different places, and we import a shitload of food now, so there's this thing called variables.  Alot of grocery stores are also starting to stock there 'own' brands, while completely copying the packaging for their competting brands, and eventually they drop those brands from the store leaving only their own hoping nobody noticed.  So most likely that shit is all from china

i used to get non frozen its a styrofoam package like how you see meat, it was organic ect....but when they started bringing their shitty store brand in they took it away, all they have is actual chickens now, all the fresh non frozen chicken breast is gone, all thats left is the frozen.  we have a bunch of grocery stores, but only 2 that arn't like this are out in bum fuck

our produce is pretty fucked to, all the lettece is nasty as hell, it either comes slimey/rotten, or it does that in 2-3 days.  i finally found the trick to getting a salad, its buying romanin hearts and taking the outside off.  Last time i went shopping the blackberrys were all covered in white mold, green beans almost always look like shit, bannana's half the time those are bad and never ripen they taste bad/off right away and if you let them sit they turn a nasty color of yellow never getting the brown spots, and taste horrible.  every once in a while ill get shitty mushrooms too, somewhere along the line some retard manages to get moisture inside the package and they go slimey

its all just a shitfest if you don't live close to the produce belts, that extra day or 2 in the truck getting shit here just fucks everything up

yeah what can you do. we are so far removed from the way nature is supposed to be that we have to invest all our energy into bio engineering ourselves away from the diseases created in order to try to keep balance, and it results in really shitty food. unhealthy depressed meat living in concentration camps. all you have to do is take care of a chicken let it grow be good to it, protect it from other things, then eat it when its older and the cycle goes on. how hard is that to understand for scientists. stop poisoning the earth and maybe we wouldn't have to bio engineer

Went all out this week, guys.
First, I had a bunch of mediocre homebrewed beer (the first batch I've ever brewed. It's like blue moon with ginger), so I added 3 cups of flour and 2 tbls. sugar to 12 oz. of the beer and made "beer bread":
It has to rest for an hour... Then bake at 350 for an hour...

Then I brewed another batch. I think it'll be a porter.

Finally, I tried making the Paprikash, but it didn't really turn out like it was supposed to... I did the chicken in a slow-cooker with some stock and a bunch of green tomatoes (a little lentil too), then cooked it with peppers, onions, and other veggies on the stovetop. It was good, but I used too much tomato/chicken, so it was more like goulash. The folly of tailoring meals to my kitchen and not the other way around
