The white gills in the first Hypholoma pic are very odd, that is likely something else. Hard to say much more without seeing the underside/stem.

good news.
Some of the gills look whiteish-yellow, maybe less mature ones. More dark as you turn them over. I'm thinking maybe the flesh is light and the spores are dark. Which can be seen on the cap second from the right. Maybe it just depends on the angle.
Although I don't seem to find many pictures of sulphur tufts where the caps are as contorted as the ones pictured. Do you know of any lookalikes?

I was going pretty much only on the second picture. The first one looks like something different entirely.

Two pictures off google show similar pitting and cracking in the pileus.

More pictures of individual specimens, especially of the gills, will be more than enough to remove any doubt. I just assumed that they were the same as in the second pic but the gills do look quite light in the first picture, and by that stage of maturity they should be dark green/grey. I guess it's hard to tell from that one picture at that distance.
