All fungi are worth learning about. But getting an ID is harder and harder the less you post about it. Follow the template and answer the questions about it's description and location. It's fun to learn. When you learn what's not there, you start to figure out exactly where to hunt and where to stay away from.
The mushroons you are looking for probably won't be found where you've been picking. Just my guess, but they do happen, on a fluke. Look for a field guide on Google. Search for "a field guide for mushrooms" the best basic one I've found is free on "live prayer." I'd post the link but you'll do better learning to do it yourself.

It looks like a tree was chopped down where they are growing. Location is eastern PA. Here's a baby one.

It's a Pluteus, the spore print should be pink.

Thank you, that was some very good advice. I've noticed people are very quick to tell someone what a peice of shit they are for not giving enough info rather than telling them what is needed to ID. Experienced members like this guy are what keep this site going and trusted, learn from him! Thanks again, going to check out that guide now.

That doesn't normally happen. In fact people consistently post terrible ID requests and no one says anything negative about it.

People almost never post the "required" info, and that is totally fine!
You have http://www.mushroomexpert.com/pluteus_cervinus.html
It is edible, and some species of Pluteus are pretty good when picked young. Others are less flavorful / have a floppy texture, but none are toxic.

I hope that's not what you think. Sounds like your just angry in general.
If you get a reply like that it's not because of anyone saying something about you. It's about the work it takes to ID, you're lucky these guys have spent so much time to learn these things. Guess what? You can learn too! If everyone does it all for you all the time you won't learn shit. Keep hunting!

You missed my point completly! I didn't give enough info and rather than that giving me a sideways comment(or at least i didnt think it was one) you told me what I needed to do to get more information. It was a COMPLIMENT. Sorry if I offended you in any way. Keep in mind that before I post myself, I use the search bar to try to find my shroom, so the bad comments I'm seeing may be 10 years old.

It's all good, no need for apologies. I should apologize too. But I see it as staying alive, nothing else. When I hunt I want to collect everything edible, psychoactive or not. But mostly for the fact that mushrooms kick ass on just about everything.
If I'd cite a phrase for this experience it'd be "Better read than dead."
You can find a lot of info in the smallest details. Plus, this is more fun than a slippery hooker on prom night! Go Shrooming!

All good on my end bro. They are so much fun and they are everywhere. Yesterday was the first time I went hunting after a rain storm (new to the hobby) and I couldn't walk 10 steps without seeing a new type. My wife thinks I'm crazy and disgusting for touching them but I'm ok with that. Thanks for reading, and HH!
