At least nine aid workers killed in air strike on hospital All 10 international staff survived airstrike - MSF US forces ‘should have known’ location of hospital MSF urges all fighting parties to respect health facilities Airstrike may have caused collateral damage - US military
Human Rights Watch have “grave concerns about whether US forces took sufficient precautions to identify and avoid striking the facility,” the group said in a statement.
“The bombing of the hospital is a shocking development for Kunduz, where civilians and aid workers are already at grave risk from the fighting,” said Patricia Gossman, senior researcher at Human Rights Watch. “All forces are obligated to do their utmost to avoid causing civilian harm.”
The group called for an impartial, thorough and transparent investigation into the incident to establish the circumstances of the attack, and urged the US to review its targeting procedures to ensure such incidents do not reoccur, it said in the statement.

Taliban fighters had entered the hospital and were firing at security forces from inside the compound, Sarwar Husaini, a spokesman for Kunduz police said.

Our inept, bumbling leader has struck again. Has the goof ever done anything right? We aren't even supposed to be in that country, its all nutty as hell. US forces should be protecting usa, not some crap hole thousands of miles away.

It's a war crime to bomb a hospital. There is no good excuse - the Geneva convention is very specific about that.

@ you pretending that Obama has direct oversight of all US military operations over the globe. Yeah, he definitely personally gave the order to go through with the air strike. Right.

We have internationally enforced laws like this for a reason...though some countries seem to get a bit more leeway than others...

Get over the US military committing war crimes?
-------------------- "I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

One of obumble's titles is commander in chief of the military. You didn't know that did you? You thought the generals made all the military decisions. This is just the latest fuck up of the idiot you people voted into office, twice.

Commander in Chief doesn't mean he authorizes every operation personally.

I heard Obama crashed this plane yesterday, too.Quote:
... Six U.S. military service members and five civilian contractors who were employed by the U.S.-led international force in Afghanistan were killed in the crash. Three Afghan nationals were also killed, a U.S. military official said...

In the old days the president had a little sign on his desk that said "the buck stops here" meaning he took responsibility for what went on. Obumble's sign says "buck, what is a buck? its all bush's fault"
Yes, his policies and loose oversight lead directly to these things. If you get drunk and drive like a crazy person and someone gets killed, don't blame it on the car or on the booze. Are the leftists going to tell us it "just happened" like it could not have been foreseen or prevented? Like it was not a direct result of stupid policy?
