Water - Ph levels and mineral additives?

Hello everyone!
I have a few questions about water for cultivation. First, is there a proper Ph level for mushroom cultivation? (Stropharia Cubensis Cuba if strain is necessary) Second, is there any mineral additives that will benefit (Stropharia Cubensis Cuba specifically) mushroom cultivation?
Thank you!

Mycelium thrives in a neutral PH envirornment, 7-7.5 is best. You shouldn't have to worry about PH levels if you follow any good tek. Usually casing with peat moss requires changing PH levels, but if following a tek, it will do this for you with predetermined measurements. Most people around here use gypsum in their water for soaking grains as well as in the substrate.

You should only worry about pH levels when using casings for your bulk substrate.
What method are you choosing to do: bulk or cakes?
Mineral additives aren't necessary, and results will not be conclusive. The performance of your cake is based on mushroom genetics, not the nutrient content of the cake itself.
Using MS will always be a toss up, you never know how it'll turn out for you.
Best bet is to take a clone of your best performing mushroom, and throw it on agar, if you're looking for better flushes and more consistent potency.

So I began by purchasing a diy kit from a reputable source. Before receiving my kit I started to do some research. Originally i planned on just cultivating, flushing a few times to see if this is for me. I have decided to use a small amount of my mycelium culture to inoculate some cakes I will be preparing for a fruiting chamber. Though I am open to advice! That is why I am here after all! on the chance i choose bulk casing method, what do you suggest? I'm not looking for a complete write up but if you are willing Pointing me in the right direction is all I ask!

www.mushroomvideos.com
watch them all in order. the first four will pertain most to your current situation and skill level, the rest will address grains and bulk substrates after you give kits and cakes a try.
shroomery 101
read thru some of those, especially the grain and coir substrate parts.
Munch's cultivation videos
those will get you on a more up to date path with agar and bulk substrates.
these are shroomery sponsors, and the place where u should order spores w/o issue
