Second flush pins covered in white

So, I got a decent first flush of nice healthy fruits about a week ago. I have noticed several dozen pins coming in but they are covered with a very thin layer of white fuzz then they don't seem to grow much. Anyone seen this before? It's not cobweb mold, seen that and this isn't it. It looks like mycelium in the early grow stages, but I am puzzled because the pins stop growing after about 1/4-1/2 inch.

Did you re-hydrate your cake/tub after your first flush?

Pics.
White fuzz sounds like FAE starved. Is the fuzz growing around the mushroom? Did you cut the base or pick it?

On the first flush, I picked them by twisting at base. All trays have aeration system using aquarium pump with hepa inline filter to supply steady FAE. I mist at least twice daily. I'm thinking maybe lack of nutes. Cakes are just under 2" thick so maybe exhausted nutrient supply. Pins start and then go white within a day or two.
As a clarification, my aeration is only on if humidity is above 90%, and is very low flow.

Without pics we will be forever guessing. It actually does sound like cobweb and given that most people have zero clue what cobweb actually looks like, that will be my guess until I see a pic.
