Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color: Very important!
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Found growing in garden after days of rain and overcast skies in central Virginia. Dirt is rich in horse manure and organic material. Spore print is dark black and can be seen in pics. I am interested in eating these for recreational purposes. They resemble ones that I have consumed before but have never had fresh. I want to make sure these are not deadly. Thanks to all.

if you are talking about the pics in your gallery, they may be pan cincts, but I am not all that familiar with that specie, so you should definitely wait for a TI. also put the pics in the thread.
Good Luck!

Thanks. Having trouble with getting pics in thread. No big deal, I'll just throw them back where I found them. Thanks again

don't throw them out. wait for an ID.
To get the pics, all you do is go to your pics, go the the white box under the upload date, click, an it automatically puts the picture info on your "clipboard."
Then come in your post and ctrl-v, and voila, the pic info pastes into the thread.

Honestly, this might sound wayy off, but this looks to be a natural hybridization event. Again, this is gonna sound far off, but it looks like a combination of features seen in the following species: Lacrymaria lacrymabunda, Panaeolus cinctulus, and a dash of Panaeolus foenisecii.
The stem hyphal patterns in the last image are unusual or unknown to collections of Panaeolus cinctulus. Look at the stems closely!
It's too bad there aren't more photos to see all of the features from this harvest.
