I'm gonna get a couple thousand cuttings in January I was wondering how fast these things grow? Like leaf yield per m/2?

Say what what?
You emptying out a Canadian ethno supplier's greenhouse????
But to answer the question, I say that it is almost impossible to say exactly... For some people, sally grows stupidly quickly. Like will grow up to the ceiling in a couple months for some. But for others (including myself) the growth isn't as quick.... When you are talking in the thousands of plants, the variation of the total yield for all the plants is tremendous. It all would come down to really dialing in the perfect conditions for them.
Here's the million dollar question, though.... Have you ever grown salvia before?

Yeah I can't wait! I plan to sell more than half of them at markets as ornamental as I've noticed an interest around here. I've grown One plant that only got to be like a foot and a half tall but that's why I'm getting that many (not from canada just an old friend that ran the idea by me). I don't think it's illegal to do this so I'm all for it as I know I can grow like 500 of em for free. Please do correct me if I'm wrong, cause I see people selling salvia everywhere

Yeah, I mean as long as your state hasn't banned it (a few have), you can generally grow and sell it for ornamental value without even bending any laws. Even if not.... And you mentioning people near you valuing them as ornamental, be aware that there are many different salvias in the world that people grow for the ornamental value and for the flowers, so salvia divinorum might not be what they are exactly after.... (I'm sure you were aware, just wanted to throw that out there)
Either way though, I would definitely jump on the opportunity either way! That's quite the hook-up you got there!

Yeah it's pretty funny how it even came up a few months ago I ran into this guy I worked for in high school and we started talking about plant stuff turns out him and his wife are huge ethno fans.

Nice. Talk about a small world. Sometimes I find myself wondering how often/or if I have ever interacted with another ethno fan or even a member of the Shroomery in real life without even knowing it...
Sorry OT.

There are TONS of different approaches. A few of the important tips I would reccommend are -Don't overwater. Wait till soil dries before rewatering -Take it easy on the ferts. Some people fert the heck out of them and do fine, but I killed a couple of plants back when I first started ferting mine... -Don't use humidity chambers... Some folks might argue with me, but most of the successful growers I know do not use them at all (with the exception of taking cuttings maybe). An exception might be be if you live in a BONE dry desert or something. Salvia will acclimate to a range of humidities though. -Don't change conditions too often or too suddenly. Growing conditions, I mean. Some people make the mistake of when they pull a plant out of humidity, the leaves start looking kind of ragged, and freak out and plop them back into high humidity again. This back and forth will kill salvia. When they go through a change in their conditions like losing the humidity chamber, the plant will often lose the old 'high humidity leaves' and the new growth will be acclimated. People freak out and place them back in the high humidity and then the 'high humidity leaves' are already dead, and then the new 'low humidity leaves' are in high humidity and just can't recover.
Make sure you drop by the 'Salvia Growers Unite' thread and share some pics of all these things when you get them for us to all drool over.
