Sensory Deprivation Tank 2

Already made a post about this in the pub but thought I might get some cool responses in here. I did two sessions in the past several days & they were amazing. Especially the 2nd time because I went an hour longer (2 hours) & smoked a large doobie in the alley right before heading into the building. During the second session I felt as though I was back in the womb.. it was weird but so beautiful & peaceful. Some very strange auditory hallucinations (I don't like to use the term "hallucination" but fuck it haha) & also a brief but interesting white ball of light danced across my visual field. Using psychedelics inside the tank must be one of the most incredible experiences to be had, I must try sometime!
Any one else ever tried out the tank & experienced some truly bizarre occurrences ? before heading into the tank they told me most people pass out but I was consciously aware during the entirety of the tank visits (for the most part, but I certainly never fell asleep at any point)

sounds interesting. How do you gain access to this tank? It is some sort of commercial venture or connected to a university?
I don't know that I would want to do mushrooms or acid in this kind of environment--sometimes you need a little distraction.

caman, (what they are calling) a "float spa" opened recently in my area. It's essentially an isolation tank with all the trimmings. I'll probably be going in the near future. I will definitely get back to you on my experience as soon as it happens!

Hey champinhom , I went to what sounds like the same kind of place where DividedQuantum will be going. It was a spa place that happens to have a room in the back with an isolation tank. I look forward to hearing about your experience DividedQuantum you're going to have a wonderful time man!

I found one in my area and tried it (thanks joe rogan).......wasn't able to truly relax in a one hour session, and wished I had smoked or had an edible that morning. Definitely planning to try it again for 2 hours with some good weed next time-

My wife and I have recently started going to a local float center. We have had 2 90 minute floats each.
The first and second one for me was about the same experience. Very relaxing, peaceful, and just getting the experience of being completely "unplugged" with ZERO distractions. I feel that it is needed in this day and age for sure. My mind at certain points was flashing images of screens from my devices. I had a couple of auditory hallucinations as well.
My wife's second float was crazy amazing for her. She had a full spiritual experience that had her smiling with tears of joy afterwards. She was "high" from it for the next 3 hours or so.
We already have a 3rd float scheduled. Definitely something everyone should experience, and IMO more than once.

If only it wasn't so damn expensive.. If I could I would, spend as many hours as possible per day in the isolation tank. Your wife's experience sounds like an incredible one !

This place has "memberships" that you can pay for up front and get anywhere from 2 to 6 floats a month. So instead of paying like $70 for a single float you can get it down to the $40 range.
My wife also has rheumatoid arthritis and it seems to help with her joint pain as well. So she has no issues paying for it.
