Possible cubes?
    #22319258 - 10/01/15 01:48 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
Found in ga been raining a week with one day of sun after. Growing in front yard in grass.

Gills
White to purple to nearly black purple

Stem:
About 1-3 inches long thick but hollow. Inside of mycelium is blue tinged. Also most have ring

Cap:
Caps are all a nice yellow some have small slight rings and can see where ring broke off on some specimen.

Spore print color:
Purple spores. Almost all rings have purple spores all over them.

Bruising:
Have not observed much bruising other than darkening but some had slight bluing. Very slight alreAdy present.

Other information:
These were all found in front yard in grass lawn. I know they should blue more but cannot find any other species to id them as.

As shown in the final picture the specimens vary in size I'm guessing due to different moisture in differnt parts of yard.

Doubtful that cubes would grow straight in front yard without manure/hay and you would likely see at least some bruising. They do look very similar though, and are likely a Stropharia of some kind possibly Stropharia coronilla.
