Am I getting that right? Do you realize how illogical that is?
no, you didn't get it right at all. two shooters in a room full of people is worse than one. that's what i'm saying. if we have to have two shooters in a room full of people, i would prefer the one trying to save the people be a trained professional because the outcome would likely be better.
Wow. I'm done. There's no logic to be had here.

you keep using that term and i don't think you know what it means. i'm giving you reasons for why i hold the opinions i hold. that is logic.

You have to be trolling if you think one bad guy shooting a bunch of people is better than one bad guy shooting a bunch of people and one good guy with a gun that wants to do nothing other than keep the bad guy from shooting people

I'm sick of these debates they should just allow guns all over the place, for a trial run of a year. If shit gets better, hey, everybody wins. If not, ok more gun control. I'm genuinely interested in what the outcome would be as I don't really gravitate strongly to either side

and try talking to him less like some sort of criminal or reprobate.
you need to be talked to like one now.
tl;dr. Also take your own advice.
You would be sitting there wishing someone would do something to save your ass. You're full of shit if you say otherwise. That or just suicidal and don't give a damn whether you live or die. You're honestly gonna sit there and tell me that if a gunman came in and made it known he was gonna kill all of you one by one, and even shot a couple others first, you'd just be sitting there like it was any other Wednesday?
You're the one hedging your bet on nothing bad ever happening. I'm proposing people be prepared for the worst that could happen, or at least be entitled to prepare for it. What you propose is that everyone stay as vulnerable as they already are, which as we've been show, bad shit happens, so the only way that makes any sense, is just to assume nothing bad will happen.
Concealed carry is legal already. This isn't some drug being legalized that was formerly illegal and now people who were afraid of the law are finally ready to try it. They are only banned in very particular spots like schools and court houses. You may get a few who decide to carry at school, but you're not going to see any real surge in it. Permits aren't the easiest thing to get, they're not cheap either, nor is a gun, or one you'd want to be carrying anyways. Learning to shoot isn't cheap either. Not to mention most of the people not already carrying, that aren't legally barred from it, probably aren't carrying already for reasons other than "it's illegal at school".
Either way I'm done. We're just starting to go in circles.

did you know that even though the US has the #1 gun ownership rate we dont even rank in the top 100 countries of gun homicides and that includes the mass shootings
What's your source?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate Show's the rate of gun violence in the US is about 14th,
the 8th most homicides in general - total
Though the rate of general homicide which may be what you're referring to is 111th
so you're telling me, that there are countries out there with far fewer guns but a much higher homicide rate and a much higher gun homicide rate, but they have fewer guns, how can this possibly be. the US should be at #1 because we have to be #1 at everything such as gun ownership
I find it hard to believe that people may be responsible for murder

i said two shooters shooting at each other in the same room as a bunch of people is worse than one. having an additional shooter, regardless of their motives, regardless of their training if we get right down to it (because accidents happen, especially in fire fights) increases risks.

neither one of us knows what i would do, and that is all beside the point.

i'm hedging my bet on things being worse when the inevitable bad stuff happens, which is likely when you add more shooters, especially untrained civilians, to the equation.

lol, do you think poor kids attend universities? there are 40K pickups parked in my parking lot every morning. you're delusional if you think the cost of guns and a permit would keep a kid from bringing his gun on campus if it was allowed. and let me ask you this since you're the expert and i am not: has gun ownership and the amount of people with concealed carry licenses increased since concealed carry licenses became commonplace? i'm seriously asking even though i'm pretty sure i know what the answer to that question is.

No, melting is when you go post stalking Amanita to talk shit to in other threads because he's not responding to you fast enough in romper, which was all some offshoot of him saying something about your avatar being you, where you made a whole thread about it in the MI&C forum. Then to top it all off, you come to the pub to make a thread about Romper room to talk even more shit.
I'm just slightly annoyed. You were raging.

Wonderful. Another 2nd amendment nut with a retarded kid was responsible for this carnage.

In her online postings, Laurel Harper talked about her love of guns and her son's emotional troubles, but there are no hints of worry that he could become violent.
"I keep two full mags in my Glock case. And the ARs & AKs all have loaded mags. No one will be 'dropping' by my house uninvited without acknowledgement," reads a 3-year-old posting.
She was referring to a Glock handgun and to military-style rifles. A Glock and a military-style rifle were among the weapons seized after the Roseburg shooting rampage.
Laurel Harper wrote in another posting: "I love the long guns & I have an AK-47 en route." She complained about gun-control efforts in "lame states."
We need to go in and take the guns away from anyone who lives with a retarded person or lives with someone who has been arrested. Right Zappa?

How dare she like guns without first looking into her future to find out her son would go full retard and shoot up a school. If she hadn't liked guns this never would have happened.

Her son was perma-tard, not like she just found out suddenly when he was 26. There's something to be said for keeping your guns out of the hands of your mouth-breather offspring but the woman is probably a mouth-breathing knuckle-dragger as well so what canyou really expect
