How to make an outdoor patch come back year after year
    #22318167 - 10/01/15 09:43 AM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Hey I'm sorry if this has already been covered somewhere but I couldn't find anything on it.

Is it possible to make an outdoor cube patch keep coming back year after year?

I live in NY and the season is just about over so please if anyone has some insight on this tell me.
Thanks! -CT

You just spawn it outdoors, let it colonize, let it fruit when the fruiting season comes around.

Now that its fruited once, you wait until the warm season comes around (because warmer temps = faster colonization) and add some more nutritious material to the patch. Just pour more hydrated wood chips or whatever substrate you want and it'll keep spreading and should come back year after year.

I add wood chips to my outdoor patches right after they are finished fruiting. In my area, the chips will colonize during the rainy season. And then fully die back in the summer. So it's useless for me to add chips in the summer.
The patches are just now coming back to life ava will fruit in two months. If I add chips now, the chips will not have time to colonize before fruiting season and will hamper productivity

Not for sure but my guess would be if you are growing cubes then add pasteurized manure instead of wood chips since cubes are dung lovers, not wood lovers. Wood chips might work but i would guess poo would work better:mushroom2:

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, “What road do I take?”

The cat asked, “Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know,” Alice answered.

“Then,” said the cat, “it really doesn’t matter, does it?”
