First flush had quite a few aborts, Take polyfill out for second flush?

I had a large number of aborts on my first flush for 2 tubs. The mushies i did get look healthy, but stems seem long(possible indication of co2 buildup?). I fanned a handful of times once i started seeing aborts and it didn't seem to help much, but it did seem to trigger a ton of pins for the second flush. Should i remove the polyfill completely to maximize co2 exchange?

Is that a casing? Looks like low FAE + inadequate lighting. What light do you have?

It is not a casing, the tubs started fruiting before 100% colonization. I open the blinds a little for indirect light, most the time it's a little brighter than in these pictures. I figured FAE is the issue, that's why with even more pins coming in than the first flush i feel like removing polyfill once they start going would be beneficial and possibly prevent as many, if any, aborts.

Hmmm....weird. That 2nd flush looks like it's gunna be killer though. The tall skinny fruits and small caps mean you need better lighting! Spend a few bucks and buy a 6,500k daylight bulb.

Oh really? I thought that was relevant to co2. I have some 6500 k bulbs I had used for my first tub, I'll try them out for these two flushes. Thanks for the advice

Skinny fruits are also relevant to FAE.

Aborts wouldn't have anything to do with light, right? That's probably FAE?

I removed some of the polyfill to hopefully allow for a little more air exchange, so far 1 of the 2 tubs is coming in nice. The other one was setup a day later so pins a little farther behind, but looks to be coming in nicely as well. The caps are a little pointed, first that i've seen cubes like this.

Aborts result from lack of FAE or hydration.

No visible aborts on second flush, actually this is the nicest flush I think I've ever had at this point.
