To wait or to do?

So anyway, there are few BRF cakes that are taking too long to colonize (though one colonized completely and has been birthed yesterday). It's been a month or so, and there's only mild signs of mycelium growth (inch or so in all separate inoculation places).
The reason doesn't matter (it's probably cuz of bleach, maybe, since it might've gotten in some of the glasses) but it really doesn't matter. What matters is what should I do with them cakes. The mycelium looks just fine, no signs of contamination. Could I somehow spawn the cakes and how could I even do that? I don't want to wait for it to die...
Totally lost, totally noob...

Pics would help. All you can do is wait.

I can easily describe:
In every glass there were 4 inoculation shots of spores' liquid. In all of those places are little mycelium circle. The circles p. much don't grow. Temperature is 27C.
It's probably because of the bleach. 90% would say.
Anyway, could I just take the parts that mycelium has colonized (in still air box), mix it up with sterile substrate (what substrate should I use?) in a plastic sterile little box with a lid on (should the box be closed at all time while colonization? I would guess it would need some fresh air?)

No that won't work. You could take the colonized spot and transfer some myc to agar and work with it from there but just cutting it out and spawning with it is asking for disaster.
And bleach in the jars? Whhhyyyy?

So I couldn't take the myc out of cakes and make LC?
Anyway, there's no point in waiting, the rest of the glass is imposs to colonize, nothing can colonize it I guess.

If you want to make a dirty LC sure. If not then no. I've made clean LC's from spore syringes before but the best way is to get into agar man. Real easy. Check this out. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19208976#19208976

I think the flakes are the main source of food for the myc.

Love your Jean Michel Basquiat pic btw. If I were you, I'd start working on some new projects. Posting pics would help but I would assume those are a loss. Better luck next time.
