Alright, lets try this again. I went out this morning and found these things growing all over a field that used to have horses (now they just burn wood in one spot, which is close to where I found these). Still in Tennessee...
Habitat: Wood - Found in a field, a day or two after it rained, that used to have horses, now just a lot of burned and dead wood (I picked these up growing in the grass near the burning spot)
Gills: Redish/Pinkish color
Stem: White, thick but fragile, redish/pink inside.
Cap: White, maybe a little brown in the very center of it.
Spore print color: (Working on it now)
Bruising: No color change was observed
Location: Northern Tennessee

If it doesn't smell inky then it should be edible. It's not active, though.

Alright, thanks. Damn, im 0-2 now... Need to find someone around here with some connections, would be easier than walking around hoping to get lucky. Sad part is I live in a house on a farmer's land, I have cows almost in my back yard, but I dont have the nads to go walking through his field looking for shrooms.

In this backwards ass place, I wouldnt doubt it man. I mean, I highly doubt it, but technically he would be within his legal rights to shoot someone snooping around his on his land in the middle of the night (or day, I suppose, but during the day he could actually see its me.) I'll end up giving it a shot in a couple of days or so. He had the cows right outside my back door this morning, I'm seeing cow shit all over behind the fence. I just dont want him catching me doing it, i mean its kinda obvious what someone is doing checking piles of cow shit.

As an update, I checked the fence that separates my back yard and the cow field and saw piles of crap everywhere, but nothing's grown yet. I think its been to cloudy and cold here, but around Sunday-Tuesday we are suppose to get some sun.

You should invest in a pair of binoculars. Then you can hunt remotely lol. Assuming you are looking for P. cubensis.

Honestly, I've never tripped before, which is why i've been hunting so hard, so I dont think im going to be too picky as long as it doesnt kill me or make me sick, you know? (I figured I'm 20 years old, its about time I at least try a shroom once. I would just buy some but I dont know anyone, as im kinda new to the state.) I've read on here conflicting statements... some people say cubes grow here in Tennessee and some say they dont, so idk...

People on this forum should know. Unless this is where you have read the conflicting information lol. I'm 29 and I've never eaten any psychoactive mushrooms. Although I'm not trying to.
