Views on drug laws
    #22317518 - 10/01/15 05:56 AM (8 years, 3 months ago)

What's everyone's ideas and views on law on drugs , do you think all drugs should be legal and taxed? And come with an age limit similar to alcohol  , should some drugs be illegal while more are made legal , just share your ideas on whether you think it would be a good or bad idea

I don't think all drugs should be legal. Though I don't think they should really carry the penalties they generally do at least not the average user. Shit like meth and crack I don't feel should just be legal and flow freely. But throwing someone in prison for years over having a little bit of it, is kind of ridiculous.

Yeah I agree. I think "trying" a drug for the experiance , is a whole diffirent ball game compared to say dealing and ruining people's lives , yet you will still get time for being curious , while I think drug laws should be really thought about and re structured.

I have yet to meet anyone who says they would do crack if it were legal. The same people would be on crack and meth if they were legal. I will go further, its easier to get crack at 5 am in my city than it is to buy liquor. Legalizing drugs will give crack heads a last call.
Legal everything.

I believe if everything was legal there would be a crazy amount of less crime on the street and there would be no more dealers if everything was legal which would be interesting.

I don't really expect that it being legal would make a bunch of more crackheads and addicts are going to continue to use whether it's legal or not, but I think there should be some incentive to stop or curb it's use, which being illegal does do. I have a friend who loves meth and would honestly probably be doing it all the time if it weren't illegal and he didn't have to risk losing his job or jail time over it.

But that's just my opinion on it and as I don't have any input on laws, nor am I likely to ever influence them, my opinion is mostly irrelevant. It takes a lot of very pro people to get drug laws changed or overturned, I really don't see a country wide majority of the people push to get crack or meth legalized.

IMO hard drugs will be legal before LSD mainly because the addicts are such a nuisance to everyone from their crime and begging that even people who don't do drugs would benefit from legal crack. I bet most of the rest of the world outside north america will one day get sick of all the homeless criminal junkies and just put them on welfare and legal crack and stick them in funded housing. I don't see any other option really.

Decriminalize. Use the cash you save on cops, judges and prisons to open up state funded rehab facilities.
