Has anyone tried this kind of jar?

Hi,
As I'm waiting for my agar plates to colonize I stumbled upon this jars (which fit my small PC very well ^^). It's one jar with 1,5 liter and a little bigger one with ~1,8 liter. And I couldn't think (or find a thread) of a reason of why not fill them up and pressure cook them. I read about half gallon jars, and their problem with surface and air, but i think it shouldn't be a problem here.

PS: one is already sterilized, next one follows tomorrow
Any tips, suggestions, experience with "weird" shaped jars?
greetings Till

Interesting design.. The only problem i could see is breaking them up when it reaches 30% colonization and again when it's fully colonized. You will need to use a lot of force to break up all the clumps, which might cause cracking, depending on how thick that glass is.

mmh probably not as robust as a normal jar, but it seems thick enough to withstand gentle force

There's plenty of space in there for a few good shakes. I doubt shaking a few rye berries would break the jar...just don't be rough with it.

true, the lid is not very good, so I really closed it tight. I'm pretty sure it's closing well , but it won't be easy to take off ^^
Can't make a photo as the second jar is already in the pc.
I'm thinking of letting the tinfoil on the jar and just cut out holes where the air filters are as soon as they're inoculated, just to be sure.
PS: It's not one of those lids which "close" within a half turn, needs about 2.5 turns, if you're speaking of those lids/jars
edit: i could also wrap duck tap or parafilm around if you think that's better/necessary

Edit: I'm not pressure cooking plastics. I may be stupid, I may be drunk, I may be high, I may be pressure cooking plastics but I'm definitely not a PORNO STAR!!!

you would really want to sterilize 1 jar and let it sit to see when it will contam this way you will know how long of a window you have

The jars will have to sit at least a week till the agar is ready (I'll post some pics tomorrow). Do you think I can see if there is contamination in the next ~10 days without doing anything to the jars? (I thought if they're sterilized right there won't be any sign of contamination for quite some time)
PS: I have some normal jars on the way too, these are just for experimenting
greetings!
