It's usually in the back near the section that sells fabric or crafts...I buy the actual Poly-fil kind, but there are several kinds...usually comes in a clear, pillow-shaped bag. It's super cheap...$5 or less for a ton of it. NO you don't have to clean it...but clean your hands before sticking them in the bag

you should be fine with that.
but if you like to live dangerously, you could leave the bottom holes loose until you see the excess water evaporate, then proceed to dial it in

I'd start off with at least half the top holes unstuffed, and tight on the bottom until the metabolites get a little bit controlled lol. It's easier to just adjust the top holes/take poly out for fae imo.

Once you get it a little dryer...use this to Dial it in...if you haven't read it yet...the evaporation patterns let you know you are in good shape.

Looks much better to me. Still quite bacterial, but it looks like it wants to flush. Keep it glistening

Dial er in like a boss before you go. They're pretty much set and forget.
Also I'd love to point you to this thread: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22020260

It's also interesting to note.. they both smelled extremely mushroomy.. If I was to use my nose, I'd think they were clean. Even though I know they're not. This is why I really don't like advising people to sniff shit (unless your spawning or birthing, then sniffing every jar is recommended ). Your eyes are 10x better at spotting crap during colonization though.
And in the bacterial section, look at blindingleafs stuff. See how lumpy they are? When myc colonizes certain types of bacteria it makes it really lumpy. Like your substrate. I can guarantee even on agar it'll still smell like mushrooms. Smelling is more for cobweb/trich in substrates, and bacteria when you spawn
