https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_South_Korea

http://www.forbes.com/places/south-korea/ "South Korea over the past four decades has demonstrated incredible growth and global integration to become a high-tech industrialized economy. In the 1960s, GDP per capita was comparable with levels in the poorer countries of Africa and Asia. In 2004, South Korea joined the trillion-dollar club of world economies, and is currently the world's 12th largest economy. Initially, a system of close government and business ties, including directed credit and import restrictions, made this success possible." -Forbes
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription_in_South_Korea "Conscription, also known as mandatory military service or compulsory national service, is legislated in South Korea, with military service stated in Chapter II Article 39 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea for all citizens. The current Conscription Law, enacted in 1965, however, applies only to males, aged between 18 and 35,[1] although women are allowed to enroll in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps as of 2010.[2]
It is administered by the Military Manpower Administration. There are two tiers of service: active duty or non-active duty service.[3] Length of service varies according to branches: 21 months for Army and Marine Corps, 23 months for Navy, 24 months for Air Force.[4] The non-active duty service, e.g. civil service or public service worker, is from 24 months to 36 months."
So suck on that Zap. You're position that conscription would hurt the country instead of help it is further degraded.
Well that's an irrelevant nonsequitur

Israel and Switzerland also have it and they both thrive as well. What does that have to do with the economy?

How does it not? Mandatory conscription is a major part of a country's operation. You don't think it would affect it's economy? Not saying every country with conscription has a healthy growing economy (North Korea for example) but it would seem that more democratic/capitalist countries do.
That said who knows if conscription would benefit America.
However the fact that a very large percentage of the youth is either unemployed, in debt, or working low-paying jobs would suggest that it might actually help.
No it isn't. What do they produce while they are in the army?

I say let the ones that will actually contribute come but they should be screened and if they do something wrong, depending on the severity throw them in prison or execute depending on crime and also deport them and their families after. The migrants that don't cause troubles will be ok and the ones that do will gotten ridden of and so will their families. I mean they should at least be given a chance to succeed like my ancestors and yours imo.

Do you support K-12 schooling for children? Because that's essentially slavery too right? I mean the children and the parents don't legally have a say in whether or not their kids go to school. Even if you lump homeschooling in their it is still mandatory and the kids still have to take tests provided by the state.
School is slavery? Pray tell just what does the school get from the child?

This is actually pretty much the law. It is not being enforced. Unscreened invaders stay here for decades, ripping taxpayers off, sucking resources and depressing wages for low level workers.

Well first of all schools would cease to exist if it weren't for the children that are forced to attend them and secondly subsidies are provided to schools with large student bodies.

FYI if the 10+ million illegals waiting to legally get in it would take them decades of waiting. I made a whole topic about it. Google it if you don't believe me.
Plus if you're concerned about the taxpayers alone you could simply legalize the illegals, thus allowing them to pay their fair share of taxes.
The illegals will never ever produce a net return. Unless you get well above the median income level you are a net loss. No illegals should ever be allowed in. They have demonstrated that they do not respect our laws. Then there is the issue of the labor force participation rate of Americans. It is in the toilet. Last month's jobs report was garbage

Jesus Christ Zap. Are you serious? You know how many kids would rather be out playing than going to school? About 99% of them.
Just admit defeat man.
Kids do not get to make the decisions. Their parents do.

Yes they do. They have a choice of how to educate their children. The children have no say in the matter.

Yeah, I am right. Going to school is nothing like conscription or slavery and only a drooling retard would even draw a similarity.

You're right GOING to school is nothing like conscription. Being FORCED to go to school is though...
Only a senile old man would be unable to see that.
You aren't forced to go to school.
