I'll just let the photos do the talking. Northeast Ohio. Beech/Hemlock forest.

Fuck. Forgot the spore print photo but honestly its a nice chocolatey purple brown as expected... Y'all can trust me on that. I've just never seen so many or so much variation in appearance yet they all fit the bill.

I'd guess a inocybe species due to no bruising on caps firstly noted.

I found one lone specimen in this same patch last year. This year after a little poking around combing the area carefully I think I hit the jackpot... There's some great variance in appearance with these guys, some have a papillate nipple top, others are just more umbonate bell-shaped. Size varies anywhere from 1 cm to almost two inches. All have a silky fibrous stipe, hollow, fibrils at the base and/or up to half-way up the stipe. Bluing apparent at the base, slowly, and more prominent over the hours as the fruits dry.

I thought the same thing. I know the Inocybe genus... They usually can seem similar to caerulipes when wet but upon drying reveal the fibrous cap texture. So far as they've dried they've shown awesome hygrophanation and have maintained the same alien-skin texture as I know with weilii. Some of the caps have dark spots and some fruits are completely bruised from the rain or bugs but otherwise I handled them all very carefully and am keeping an eye and taking notes as they dry.
