if this works for reducing my PE pinning times I'm sending you a gift basket.

Yea. I used to love jiffy. Their quality has gone down hill lately. I'm going to start mixing my own.

Spawned three 6qt tubs of B+ multispore to cvg. Each tub got 2qts of fairly full spawn.
Tub 1 was cased with 50/50 coir/verm and put immediately into fruiting.
Tub 2 and Tub 3 where given a thin top layer and put into colonization.
Tub 2 will be cased and immediately fruited at 100% colonization.
Tub 3 will be consolidated until pins show, then cased and put into fruiting.
I'll update here as things go along but I'm keeping a journal so I can easily keep track of the dates.

Azur, do you think there's any point in testing this project uncased? I've never grown PE before but I don't see much of a point casing it if you're going to let it colonize all the way.

But you make a good point as I've never tried an uncased pe tub with poly at spawning. I'm on it. Thanks.

Traditional tub has no pins. Looks to be slightly knotting up. Experimental tub is doing well.

Looks great! If all goes well with my new monotub setup, I will be trying this out.

Yes. I'll be running more experiments too, like the one without a casing. Mu concern with that is that the sub may dry out too much as the penis likes it wet.

The penis always likes it wet. Normally, you add the casing directly after spawning?

Hmmm. With my unrestricted holes, that may pose a problem.

Azur, in the OP, you said "I only had enough spawn for one tub, so i split it in 2. APE."
That last pic looks like PE though

My straight into fruiting tub is breaking through the casing layer after two days. It also looks to be colonizing faster than the control tubs (no liner, clear tubs).

That thing is going to need a lot of water and air like now, looking forward to the results!
