Thanks, MS about 5-6 transfers later to 7 quarts oats spawned to 1 brick coir 2 quarts verm 5 quarts water via bucket tek, no gypsum in sub, used in grain prep only. Cased with 3 quarts pasteurized jiffy and medium poly at spawning per OP. After pins loosened top poly because humidity is high here and I could get away with it. Came from the same plate that blobbed out on me in the last tub.

So you MS > Agar and after those transfers went with oats? I was wondering how in the hell you could have gotten that MS. I was like: "genetic lottery??"

just checking in to say that not-taping the holes at spawning has cut off like a week or more to my usual pinning time.
fuckin rad.

Yup, not an isolate, just limited ms. just kept transferring the fastest most aggressive leading edge, still had a lot of sectors. A lot of clusters in that tub, got me a nice clone from one

At least. Poly and cased at spawning FTW!

I just spawned 2 66's of AA+ with 6 quarts each. My mini that I spawned/fruited on 12/5 showed pins a few days ago, although I didn't case it at all. I'll update the thread with my 66's later on.

im doing a tub with 7 quarts of various cubes i have leftover. i don't have the time to g2g them and don't really need the cultures. so im going to mix them all up into one tub with CVG. but ill probably leave the casing off this time. i will use the medium poly in all holes.

all righty ... bitches ! I gots sum'n to report ...
two 66 qt. monotubs of PE clone (known culture, that quite honestly, is tiring out).
typical for me with this culture done my old way:
7 days to colonize the bulk (duct tapped holes) 2-3 days of 'consolidation' into fruiting conditions: (polyfil in, no casing layer) 10 to 20 days before first pins ... so a total of
19 to 30 days from spawning to first pins my old way. 23 days is very typical.
--------------------------------------------------------
NEW WAY:
SPAWN / CASING LAYER / POLYFIL and FRUITING CONDITIONS (all at once):
13 DAYS FOR FIRST PINS (AND LOTS OF THEM. both tubs) !
winner ! thank you very much azur

This thread was moved from Mushroom Cultivation.

I just spawned an ape tub 2 days ago. Cased and fruited on same day. 9 qts spawn to 20 qts straw pellets. I used a 105 qt sterilite tub. The sub is like 3 3/4" thick with a 1/4" casing of cvg.

Hell yea dude. That's awesome. Glad you're on board. I really think this method can help push fruits out of suspect tubs too, as there's not a long period of nasty stale air.
Cron, I'd really rather this be back in cult, as it was written to help the masses. Thanks for thinking of me though.
