finally got this burma chode clone going from 6 months ago.
took prints from the clone i had going in 2009. that clone culure lasted a good 7 years. i had hell trying to bring her back. the culture grew slow from spores. wouldn't catch on grain. nothing. finally i had a flush grow out and was able to take some clones. anyway, one tub grew out this fat chode looking growth. so i tried cloning it in hopes of keeping those traits. the new tubs grew out. only one chode showed in 3 tubs. so i cloned that fruit again, tried printing it, didn't drop spores, swabbed the cap to agar last night and got a bunch of bacteria lol.
well at least the clone looks good.

Boy, I wish I could give you my AA+ clone, eatyualive. It is an excellent producer! Have you tried AA+?

I didn't see AA+ there. I've been watching your grows for a long time Eatyualive ... I've even experimented with different hole arrangements on my monotubs due to a post you made a while back.
I hope this no tape deal works out as well for me as it has you guys. The RH here is around 15% lately, so hopefully they don't dry out.

make sure to adjust accordingly. a few pages back pasty was talking about heating during the winter months drying out tubs. i think he has to stuff his poly a little tighter during fruiting.
tex yellow cap

and this kss looks like its fruiting normal. not stubby. its always fruited stubby for me. i think i see an albino in the back. if so, ill clone it.

Lookin good man, I see the one you're talking about. That would be cool!
I cased a few tubs that were 80-90% colonized. Hopefully they finish as fast as Azure's.

hey, the op was updated recently. it has an entire write up with pics now.
but here is a post with some AA for reference. believe me when i say this, i have threads posted in 2004 that ive always used polyfil in during colonization of the bulk substrates. only thing different i would do is turn on the fan when i was ready to fruit the tubs. so the tubs would colonize with the poly in, then fruit and harvest with it in. id dunk for 2nd and 3rd flushes. then dump the tub and fill it again. all of which involved doing "pretty much nothing". but rh in my lab is 50%. so what works for me, may not entirely work for you with a 15% rh. you will have to tinker a little. if your tubs dry out. then you may have to leave the bottom poly holes in tighter. try it first. and it may be necessary to mist to make up for the lower rh.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22514945#22514945
thread from 2004. always used poly in the whole time. proof for the haters.

I always mist, and I case all my tubs. It's just easier to maintain optimal conditions with a casing.

I don't fan them. If you want to, you could do it once in the morning, and once at night while you're waiting for your pinset. If you have a lot of tubs it will be a pain in the ass though
If you live in a dry climate, some misting might help you along also.

Wow! Good thread. My APE fruits just fine uncased so I think I'm gonna try this with my next run of tubs.

Opening the lid to mist is about as close as I get to fanning anything. Unless of course you count the time I sneezed in the tub. Guess that was a fan and mist simultaneously.

No pins yet and the casing is pretty much obliterated. But this thing is only 15 days from spawning and looks ready to pop. . .
