Tubs pretty much induce fruiting on their own. You wont have to do anything. Not that it would hurt if you loosen the top holes. But I don't find this necessary with medium poly in all holes. Idea is to set the tub up at spawning and let the tub do the rest

Yeah its way to dry here to have medium poly in my bottom holes, especially with an colonized top layer. Furnace be running quite a bit lately. I am gonna case it and the extra burst of FAE will hopefully provide enough tropic stimulation to get a response.

Bastard. I'm dealing with 40 in the day and 28 at night. Saddest thing is that this was one of the warmest Octobers on record. We should have a foot of snow outside and there is jack.

Update on my three tubs. All three had a top layer of CVG. Tub one was put immediately into fruiting, tub two given a more typical colonization, and tub three was put into fruiting after a pin had formed.

Tub one is pinning nicely.

Tub two is covered in knots, primordia, and has some pins forming.

Tub three... tub three ate the top layer a bit with that long colonization time. We'll see how she does.

this is the last harvest off my first 3 AA+ tubs grown using the polyfil in medium in all holes during spawn run and throughout the fruiting process.

multispore yield on 3 tubs was 661 grams cracker dry.
update 8 days in. knotting probably began on day 7. im also only using dim light coming in through the window cracks. im anticipating this grow to have fruits going in all kinds of crazy directions. althought i won't move the tubs out of their exact spot. so hopefully things will work out well. id say by eye, the light coming in the window is about 10% of the blinds being wide open. once again grow room temps range from 76-78 degrees.
these were cased and spawned 10.24.2015. AA again. From cornmeal LI prepared spawn.

Nice! I updated my straw tek 6 days ago and when i did i built an all straw tub, a straw and hpoo tub, and 3 hpoo tubs. All 5 have knotted up. I expect pins in a day or two. I'll update here and that thread when it happens.

Wow paper those are really nice tubs.
Exo should those nice fruits be afraid of that blender?
Tree's with no leaves and without snow is soo sad.

4 out of 5 tubs have a few tiny pins. Day 7, like clockwork.

Cased and polied the ape tubs i built a few days ago this morning. Wanted to case at spawning, but didn't have any casing. They were 90ish percent colonized.

I have 4 tubs that are 3 days old, 2 taped and 2 untaped. All 4 are neck and neck with rate of recovery. If my theory is correct then the untaped tubs should start to take off and pull away from the taped tubs with in the next couple of days. Don't have any data to present to you just yet but I have been collecting it. I will start posting these temp diff trends after I induce fruiting on the tubs that are taped and after they pin and after the mushrooms have matured (hopefully, I may be at the romp when some of these stages occur).

Seems like the ones with only hpoo/verm are doing considerably better, at least for now. Is this something you typically see or are you testing that as well?
