Pins on the Bottom - Flip Over?

Disclaimer: I read a bunch of threads on this exact topic but there was a lot of differing opinions so I thought I'd throw it out there again.
3 Days after an overnight soak my cakes are going wild! Only problem is that several of them have significant growth on the bottom of the cake (I put a mason jar lid on top of Perlite where the cakes rest).
So, should I flip the cakes (the tops aren't fruiting).

I think this is from too low humidity on the top of the cakes, no?
The pins will form where conditions are conducive to pinning.

Let's say I don't flip them - how are the pins on the bottom going to grow to maturity if they've got the weight of the cake pressing them into the hard surface of the mason jar lid?

Im not saying this is bad advice, but what makes flipping them a bad idea if pins are on bottom. I have had this happen and flipped them and things went fine afterwards. I just dunked after the flush that was on bottom then flipped em back the right side up after removing from a dunk. Just curious really. I will take the advice of those more advanced than me.

I see what you mean with that, however if the person was absolutely needing to flip it in order to avoid cakes being tipped over or the mushrooms knocking into other cakes I think its acceptable.
Not ideal. But acceptable if necessary.
One time I had a mushroom that was growing directly into the perlite. Seriously it was straight down into the perlite so I flipped the cake and the mushroom grew to be one of my larger ones of that flush. Certain situations would need them to be flipped however if you only need to flip the cake because it hasnt pinned anywhere yet then theres probably something already so wrong that flipping it isnt going to really do anything but bruise the cake and slow myc growth even more.
p.s. I just realized this guy already had pins on the bottom and nothing was wrong and wanted to flip it.. gahhh im stoned..

In This thread you can see bottom pins lifting the entire substrate block up in a mono tub, pretty damn cool
