Your Top 7 Animal Predators 1

1. Cheetah. Fastest land animal on earth. Looks like a damn missle when it's zeroed in on fleeing prey. Hits up to 75 MPH.

2. Male Lion. Lazy as fuck but when it's up for a fight, man they are fucking epic beasts. I saw one on National Geographic sneak up on a wandering cheetah, and he seriously had that cheetah iced within 2 seconds. Crushed its throat with a quick bite to the throat. 550 pounds of pure muscle.

3. Bald or Golden Eagle. Either one. Ever seen one in the flesh? They're fucking huge, man. Pinpoint accuracy from the sky. Some have even been known to take deer fawns and attempt to take small children. Or unsuspecting punk ass cameramen.

4. Killer Whales. They've been known to kill Great White Sharks. Great Whites. Enough said. They're such prolific predators that even penguins can't resist the urge to leap straight into their mouths.

5. Reticulated Python. Fuckers grow up to like 25 feet plus in some cases. And they'll try to eat your ass, too. Not in like the porno way but literally eat you. There was a documented case of some dude who was taking a stroll through the jungle -- and never came back out. So they went in looking for him...and found him. The python had his entire head in its mouth, but couldn't quite get past the shoulder blades. Yikes. That's a real photo below, btw.

6. Great White Shark. The stuff of legends. One bite will go through you like a hot knife through butter and leave your intestines falling out of you. Look at that sexy mouth, bro.

7. Nile Crocodile. 1,000 pounds of pure reptilian beast. Doesn't matter what you are or how big -- venture to close and you're dinner.

So what's your top 7 predators?

It doesn't fuck around apparently...
Leaves me to wonder though, how do you know a dragonfly is hunting?
I mean, it could actually have a 100% success rate. Might be that 1/20 times it just goes for a leisurely chase?

I saw some shit not long ago on Discovery or whatever about some cougar that hung out by a bike trail in California -- killed one biker, and then tried to take out this female biker the next day. It really messed her up bad, man. She survived it (thanks to a friend who started throwing big ass rocks at it while it was trying to finish her), but had to have like 5 or 6 reconstructive surgeries.

I'm going to work my way up to seven entries, because nature is awesome and this thread has win written all over it.
So, for my number 2, the African Wild Dog:

A pack of these will simply not give up. The best nose and endurance out there. If they lock in on you, you're lost. They will chase you for days if need be.
Almost extinct however because there are barely any habitats left that are large enough to sustain them. That should give you an idea of how effective they are.
