Yeah it definitely seems like spores . It's just the thick solid white in the middle really throws it off lol. Also I never saw that pic. Not sure why . Anyways glad it's all white and everything looks good. Just looking out for your safety.
P.S. if it is just thick myc, it looks really dry. Keep it glistening with no pooling water. Mist directly to achieve this

Mad Season said: Yeah definitely. Not really any problems with a healthy immune system. Unfortunately it's more common than you'd think. Contam related illness in this hobby. Really goes to show you gotta respect those contams. I've seen 1 person complain about fungal pneumonia in the last 6 months out of how many people frequenting this site... so it's very uncommon. Still what we preach, which is toss when contaminated.. no one should be getting any illnesses.

I did not know this:

Psilocybe cubensis was the most potent allergen source in both the USA (12.3% reacted) and Europe (16.0%).

Thanks a lot for everything! I always misted the inside of the bag in which the cake sits in because the instructions said to not directly spray water on the cake. The air within the bag is very humid and there is a small puddle below the box within the bag that evaporates due to my self-made (really proud ) heating platform. Do you think I should still water it directly?

This is very good to know and helpful information! Thank you! I guess that explains my quite strong allergic reactions. Me and my friend did some of my asthma spray during the trip. It helped to alleviate the symptoms quite significantly. Can recommend.

If the surface isn't glistening, mist it directly. Don't listen to the dumb kit people... It doesn't really matter if the air is humid. It can be 99% humid, without the surface of the mycelium being hydrated, it won't perform and you'll see side pins. Because thanks to the walls, you have high surface humidity/hydration on the sides. Keep it glistening and it will be happy.

Thank you! I already followed your advice without reading your last post haha. I just harvested my 3rd flush and it was kind of disappointing. Only 8 mushrooms grew. There were about 90 (counting the really small ones) in the 1st flush. Next time I might try pf tek or so. It's the last time I used a kit.
One more thing: I thought about "planting" the used kit in some place that seems fit for growing mushrooms. Do you think it has any chance of working out? I also thought about even spreading mushrooms in an area that might be fitting. Is it possible to "plant" mushrooms outside somehow? If yes, then probably not in this time of the year, during fall?
