brown print would indicate a possible agrocybe sp.

Some pics of clusters I came across during the remainder of my hike:

First two pics are another species I found under a tiny rock, all white with white gills and I'm taking a print now

Agaricus also have a brown print.  These are most definitely Agaricus.

I thought agaricus were more purple brown than light brown like he said.

The spores are chocolate brown. The gills are first pink, then chocolate brown.

It's definitely an Agaricus, though. No doubt. My guesses for a faint print are that it wasn't done long enough, or the gills hadn't fully matured.

Time is the issue I believe, the print is apparent on a cap in one of the photos but I have a print still going on a notecard now

Edit: second to last photo in my previous post

Mycologists (not me!) use terms to describe spore print colors that don't always make sense. It's best to look at a lot of pictures, and print as many mushrooms as you can (and identify them).

I think of Agrocybe as having more of a tobacco brown print(like the end of a cigarett).  Agrocybe also will not have pink gills.

Well it's definitely an Agaricus, but it's unlikely anyone will be able to tell you which species. Apart from a few, they are very difficult to identify to species by appearance alone.

Agaricus is pretty tough to ID to species based on pictures.

I am learning myself, as previously mentioned. So, I'm no "Trusted Identifier", but I am basing this ID using the book "Mushrooms and Other Fungi of North America" by Roger Phillips, which is boasted as "The most comprehensive mushroom guide with over 1,000 color photographs"
Because Thad was comprehensive with his observational data, like habitat,  gills, spore print, etc... a confident ID should be plausible no?

I honestly don't know.

The first couplet in the key I use (which is for California, where OP made his find) requires that you know whether or not the mushroom changes color if KOH is applied.

There may be users here who are familiar enough with So Cal Agaricus for a positive species ID with the information provided, but not me.

For sure.
Thanks.
It's all so interesting.
I appreciate your feedback.
