Hello everyone,
I just recently finished to grow a supa-gro kit of McKennaii.
1st grow ever that turned out to a approx 340grams 1st flush

After picking them all up like indicated I put the kit back in the bag to start the 2nd flush and I wanted to know if what is going on now seems ok to you :

Many thanks in advance for your help and sorry for what must me a big noob question.

And since this is the contamination forum I just want to be sure my dry shrooms are alright cause I noticed there is a lot of white "whatever-it-is" going on on the stems mostly ...
They are cracker-dry, every stem breaks like it is recommended and I stored them in a ziplock with some silica gel.
Since I will be bringing these to a big get together with friends I just want to make sure I am not risking to poison them ...

Then again thank you for your kind help.

Like the poster above said, it's dry.
That's why the mycelium is growing on the caps and probably why some of the pins are aborting.
The mycelium has overtaken the casing so it isn't holding in as much water as it should be.
Right now, most you can do is probably mist more but next time I'd add a bit thicker of a casing layer.

Hello !
Thank you both for your replies!
But there was never shortage of humidity in the bag, water condensation/droplets always on the sides of the bag so that's weird.
But then the good news is that this does not look like contamination to you
Regarding the dry ones in the second post nothing to be concerned about neither?
Thanks again

If they are cracker dry then they are fine.
Mushrooms are 90% water and that nice first flush you had sucked a lot of it out of the substrate. Did you dunk after the first flush at all?

No I did not dunk at all because I read somewhere that these supa-gro kits do not require to do so... maybe that's why ... :/

It isn't contamination, but you'll likely get some if it dries out much more.
But they are fine, as far as the mushies go.
Also, bag? Was it in a bag and then you tranferred it to that plastic bin?
You definitely don't want to fruit it inside the bag; casing it is much more ideal.
Just, in the pic it has overtaken the casing layer because it's dry and the casing layer seems thin.
When it does that, the casing layer can't do its job of holding in the moisture and it'll dry out.

Pour water on it for an hour or 2 and then drain it off. That should replenish it for the next flush. If there is no water, there are no mushrooms.

I'd go with option b, just because it is pinning.
A mister is a heck of a lot better than pouring water on it at this point.
If it weren't pinning (esp. pinning and aborting) it wouldn't matter so much.
