Casing
    #22311996 - 09/30/15 01:03 AM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I have two tubs that I cased with jiffy at 100%... Is it outdated to patch the first signs of myc that show through the casing? Next question is, is it patch then fruit...or is it patch then leave it to consolidate until the myc shows through like 30% of the casing THEN fruit?

I haven't patched yet, and I always just fruit at first signs of myc, or a day or 2 after it. So basically I'd fruit anytime now

You can also case and fruit at the same time. It all works. Anytime anyone asks me when to fruit a casing i just say yes haha

That has always worked for me... >.>

Also, the myc shouldn't colonize the casing; if it does you probably have rH too low and the casing layer won't hold as much moisture. The mycelium should "peek out" of it, but not colonize the layer.
