I need straw help!!

I bought a bail of straw. Now its kinda green but its yellow. Now I have read that the greenish stuff is allfalpha but alfalpha isnt straw. This is deffinitly straw. Can someone please help me out. Should I use it or no??

I would try to remove as much of the green as possible. I have a bale like yours , its got a few greens in it, but i just tried my best to remove them and it seems to work just fine.

I read on mycotopia that over 20% of alfalfa increases contamination risks quite a lot. Now, I have a bale with around 20% or alfalfa in it. I spent an hour trying to remove every single alfalfa piece and lost the project. I started another one and didn't care at all about it and it was a success.

Don't bother too much with that, it could work anyway...

The best thing about it is that you rarely need to use a half a bale of straw at once, so you don't have to de-green itall at once. Do it as you cut it up and pick the berries out of it as well. Enjoy.
