Interesting that I ask OP a specific question about Native American ceremonies.
One that I even attended and asked of his opinion.
But completely ignored my question while not making any true claims of his heritage.
I'm doubting authenticity.

dont believe that every indian knows his history, it's only in the last 30 years that many nations were allowed to even teach their history again, the ceremonies and rituals were forbidden by law in most reservations. the oldest person on the Qualla Baoundary that speaks tsalagi as a first language is about 17 or 18, many of the younger people didnt want to be different than the world so it held no interest to them. why would you expect everyone to know everything about their heritage when their parents didnt care to learn or teach what they knew

I learned about them while taking Calgary public transit. A magical people! I think since we broke some treaties they never pay for the train. Once a bunch started shouting "native pride" when the police came to remove them for not having 3 dollar ticket. So what's your tribe like? Casino?

Personally, I love it!

Okay dude, don't let your entitlement get to your head

Yuwipi is a Lakota thing anyways.
I've also never heard of someone paying for hemblecha.

lol entitlement about what? You clearly misinterpreted what I said, or at least how I meant it.
All I said was that I went to a Yuwipi ceremony. In no way I was bragging about it.
I moved to an area recently and have been exposed to the culture.
I had a few questions about it to try and understand it from a different perspective from someone claiming to be Native American.
And pris, when people come on the boards and claim to be timothy leary's great grandson or someone who claims to be Native American or whoever, especially when it comes to this website, it's probably expected that questions will be asked about who they are and in this case, their culture. If they are open to share information about their lives to create a thread about it, then I would expect they would know something or have something to share.

Am I crazy?
I asked one question.
Dude hasn't said anything validating a thing.
And I am perceived as pretentious because I went to a ceremony related to the topic of the thread?
lol

No, I am referring to your quick jump to assumptious assertions about the OP based on the belief that your question held more value than the others he addressed.
The question you asked could have a very long response, maybe he doesn't have the energy to answer it right now? Or maybe he simply didn't like the question and doesn't want to answer. Questioning his authenticity certainly isn't going to make him want to appease you with an answer.

My friend is basically a full blown white person but has some Cherokee in him from like his grandma and he has a fucking reservation card and everything. He uses that shit all the time to get tax free cigs and all this other shit.
My dads friend is full blooded Navajo and he's really chill. I know that other tribes fucking hate each other though. The other tribes here hate the navajos. It's like some long standing century old feud. Now it's probably over gaming rights lol.

I understand what you're saying.
It's just I believe like 25% of the things I read on here anyway. Too many trolls. So skepticism is difficult to avoid.
I was just truly interested in my question.

Why's it hard to believe someone could actually be Native American?
The famed historian Rush Limbaugh once said, “There are more American Indians alive today than there were when Columbus arrived or at any other time in history.”
