Costal North Carolina Identification
    #22308844 - 09/29/15 02:59 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

First let me say hello. Whenever I have an Id Request, my mushroom usually gets a name within a few hours. I would like to thank to all of you shroom heads out there.

Now about the mushroom at hand. My area just had a good 2 day On-Off rain so the mushrooms are a soggy and are falling apart.

Habitat: They grew in my neighbors yard(Grass & Soil). Her grass is about 4-6 inches and is mainly un-kept. I live right on the water next to a canal that opens up to a sound (Abermarle Sound). We just about 2 days of rain.

Gills:
Since its still yet outside, the gills appear to be blacker than they are. They seem more dark brown than black really.

Stem:
Length: 2.5 in, Color: White, Solid, Overall is thin but has a thicker base. Has a slight curve, more or less straight

Cap:
Diameter: 2.5 in, Color: White, Flat Cap (when matured)

Spore print color: Pending!!! (On the paper)

They are Agaricus, probably not the kind that you'd want to eat.

May you be filled with loving kindness.
May you be well.
May you be peaceful and at ease.
May you be happy.
