My take on the poor mans pod

So I recently decided to try out a new tek, I've gotten pretty good with fruiting bulk bags. I figured I'd try something new Once I made my mind up that I was going to use a pmp the next decision was what kind of bulk sub I would use, now I've had good luck with poo, coir and straw, each on there own and thought I'd mix em all together and see how it goes Now I didn't use exact measurements on the coir or straw but the mixture went something like this 1 brick coir 1lb poo per pasteurized 2-3 cups verm And about 3-4 lb of straw per pasteurized Few tbsp of gypsum
Now for the fun part pasteurization of your coir Take your brick of coir and throw it in a 5gallon bucket Add your verm and gypsum on top of that Take about a gallon of rain/lake water (if not available tap will work just fine) give or take a few cups And get that in a pot on the stove bring it to a roaring boil for about 20-30 min (shorter times should be ok Id just rather be safe then sorry) After water is boiling for desired time dump into your bucket over coir verm mix and put the lid on!!! YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD SEAL Let sit for about 20-30 min then mix with some sort of long CLEAN spoon to distribute moisture and break up any remaining coir chunks(some times there will still be dry chunks of coir if needed add more boiling water) after mixing put your lid back on and let sit for another 3-4 hrs After sitting for desired time take lid back off and add your poo, and straw and mix until its a homogeneous mixture(evenly mixed) Once cooled below thermal death threat pack into myco filter pach bags and spawn 1:2 or 1:3 for fastest growth and seal with impulse sealers
Now while your bags colonize lets build our fruiting chamber or poor mans pod You'll need Drill 56qt tub with lid Air pump Air tubing Air stone (flat circle or long rectangle shaped) Hydroton(expanded clay pebbles)
First you'll need to drill holes around the tub above 4" 5holes on the long sides 3 on the smaller sides Also on the handles big enough to fit your air tubing through Once holes are drilled thred tubing through holes in handles and connect the air stones Set them on the bottom of the tub then pour 3-4 inches of hydroton on top Then fill your tub with just enough water/peroxide mix (10:1) that the air stones create a nice bubbling action but it's not coming out of your holes that you drilled Holes can also be drilled in the lid if there are no handles for tubing
Once bags are fully colonized you can Cut open grobags and take cakes out Use some sort of barer to keep your cakes off the hydroton in your pod weather its verm or foil or even the plastic from the bags just make sure there not sitting on the hydroton If your having a problem with Humitiy you can duct tape up a few holes to raise it The pump provides fresh air and the bubbling creates relative humuty So far cake 1 of six is in the pod and I'm already getting massive pin sets
Hope this was helpful Thanks for readin my first post Zip it in and zip it out Jstardamus

This is where u messed up.....that is not pasteurization, and you just introduced contams into the manure.....manure needs proper pasteurization or it needs to remain unexposed to open air if sterilized.

Pasteurization gives you a 7-10 day window to achieve colonization. If you have it shipped....
Sterilized poo is pretty useless unless you spawn sterile too which is near impossible to do at home

How long ago did the vendor pasteurize the poo, and for how long?

I don't see how adding bucketek coir to pasteurized poo would be a problem. The buckettek temp spikes well above pasteurization temps, so it should kill mold spores and have a diminished or nonexistent thermophilic bacteria content. But coir doesn't need that to avoid contamination, and if the poo already has those bacteria, I don't see how anything is being introduced that wouldn't already be present.
Maybe you were responding to sterilized poo, where that might well exponentiate the shitstorm.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

It wouldn't, except for the fact that he stated the manure was sterilized, not pasteurized..... he has now revised what he said.

Because you need to be yelled at if the other were true, lol......those 2 words have 2 completely different meanings and uses....

A typo and typing the wrong word are also 2 completely different things......
And the entire reason we are here is to pick apart "noob's typos" lol.

As is said above pasteurized or sterile. Sterile poo is hell from what I've read. Spawning open air sterile poo wouldn't be the best. But hope all goes well still looking forward to pics and progress .

I had a pound of Hpoo/straw that i mixed in with a pound of colonized rye which wouldnt fruit in the bag, so i took it out, dunked and rolled it, then put it in a PMP. i was getting really good flushes out of it, must have gotten an ounce and a half dry before it started producing these really big but completely hollow fruits and i threw it out.
