About me: I want to grow indoors I've been most successful with mono tubs Only cultivated Psilocybe Cubensis My experience with Cubensis has been awesome but I'm looking for strong visuals and less body load.
Cant decide to cultivate Psilocybe cyanescens or Panaeolus cyanescens. Help!!!
Which one is easiest to grow and dry without potency loss? Which one is more visual?

This doesn't deserve an answer.
It's too bad that ps cyan fits the bill for the other prerequisites.

Psilocybe cyanescens form a symbiotic relationship with lignin-rich substrate. They're wood lovers and their particular type of climate is very hard to recreate indoors, next to impossible.
I think I've seen like 1-2 people cultivate them without simply spawning to outdoor, and they were spawned to woodchips in a cooler and left in an outdoor cabin or shed or some shit.

They perform better with manure, although apparently not required. I saw a recent grow of pan cyans with CVG. Manure is "tougher" because it requires true pasteurization, which is somewhat of a more advanced technique.
It's also not called substrain, it's a species/variety.

I am also wondering a similar question to the OP, I have tried searching but i have returned with mixed answers. This post is the only one that I have seen that has trusted cultivators saying that growing pans is easier than cubes. can you guys please either refer me to a link to explain this in further detail, or elaborate why this is? how would pan cyan have a 95% success rate when cubes only have a 5% success rate?...this seems like one hell of a statement. thanks
Also in this post alone there is someone saying that the climate for pans is hard to recreate indoors yet the trusted cultivators are saying that growing indoors is the main reason to choose pans...ughhh im confused lol

panaeolus CYANESCENS
Psilocybe CYANESCENS NOT Psilocybe CUBENSIS
This isn't about cubes vs pans. Cubes are MUCH easier to cultivate.

You're confusing species. Psilocybe cyanescens are completely different from panaeolus cyanescens. Neither are cubes, but of the two, pan cyans are much easier to cultivate.

If you truly want to cultivate the ps. cyanescens I would start it on agar and transfer that to a couple qt jars of some grain with a little hardwood sawdust added. I'd transfer that to a couple gallons of hardwood chips, and once that's grown out after several weeks transfer it to a large amount of hardwood chips outdoors in an outdoor bed in an ideal area to grow. Cover it with translucent plastic, then after it's fully colonized fruit it. You would want to time this correctly so that when you fruit it outdoor temps are about 50F. Ps. Cyanescens also readily colonizes cardboard

Why cover it outside? Just asking, never done an outdoor bed.

Because you want it to recolonize, you want as little fae as possible, you only want GE so that the mycelium can build up co2 and recolonize. If you leave it uncovered it wont be able to build up the needed co2 and will not recolonize. I've dont plenty of outdoor beds, just not with any woodlovers... yet

I guess I'd have to see it. Idk, I was imagining a hole in the dirt with plastic over it

Thats what you do man! I dig a good sized rectangular hole, about a foot long by 6" wide, and 6" deep and fill it with spawn and more subtrate, mix it and then cover it with clear plastic cover for a few days and then uncover it. I get a good bit of rain around here so they're usually set and forget, but if its gonna be dry for a time I just water them with the hose. Having the plot among grass for a microclimate really helps
