Death, darkness, and demons

Since I was young I've had a morbid fascination with death. I've also had quite the interest in demons and darkness. I feel the both of those are misunderstood (or am I just crazy).
I can't explain it, but I find the darkness calming. I feel myself melding with it. Almost becoming one. It's a strange feeling.
I'm juts wondering if there is an angle that I can go with it. Any spiritualities on it?

I have always found comfort in the dark. I grew up on the edge of the forest where there was zero ambient light. The pitch black nights (full moons, cloudy nights) I fondly remember strolling the foot path through the woods.
I have also have a small fetish for the macabre. I've done light blood play with former girlfriend and choking and stuff. I've collected bones of dead things I've found in the woods for years. Many people have told me this shit is weird over the years. I have never hurt anyone without consent and to be honest it doesn't concern them so why should their personal feelings of my actions concern me?

I just feel a connection towards it. In all the media I have seen I find myself gravitating towards the darkness and the like. I just don't know where to go with it.

first of all, does it need to go anywhere beyond telling you that you have a certain taste for a certain thing?
the fact that you have discovered an affinity for something does not necessarily predicate a necessity to do something with it except acknowledge it. If action feel like to strong of an urge an "something" must be done with it then do what YOU want. just dont hurt anyone. Embrace your new found like and explore the macabre arts, deviantart can lead to great things. Sexual exploration of the idea can be quite interesting and fulfilling in strange unexpected ways. Not to sound negative or off-putting by any means but it can be very difficult to find someone to explore this territory with and have a feeling of trust and safety with that person, which in turn allows personal well-being to be placed in the hands of another, alleviating one of that level of self consciousness and allowing one to concentrate solely on pleasure.

Darkness is the default state; the darkness of space is what surrounds us. The sun interrupts the darkness half the time.

your so called darkness and demons are your fear you already are one with the darkness our job is to overcome and push the boundary's constantly confronting your fear is the only way to control your darkness if you choose if you choose to not control your fear and you let it consume you things will never be the same and you will manifest a living hell for you it might feel powerful and nice at first but that's the hook

We seldom realize that our passions and hates create these demoniacal beings in the superphysical world, but this is one of the secretes of black magic. Every evil or debased thought or emotion of man helps to build these tearing, rending creatures, the innate qualities of which become, in the hands of those who know, agencies for the destruction of the powers of light. It also seems part of the plan that those who chain these demons shall themselves, fall victims to their own slaves, for one after another, the black magicians are sucked into the maelstrom of the astral hell. The lower planes of the astral world are the three hells of religion, and are the homes of these excess-created beings that battle each other with never-ending fury. — Manly P Hall; Magic: A Treatise on Esoteric Ethics

Naturally there are alot of archetypical goings-on in regards towards darkness, demons, etc. Then depending on one's own personal beliefs also help in color what the meanings of these and how they arise in one's own consciousness. It can get pretty hippie, too.
Darkness to me is highly creative, misunderstood in a western context, similar to a blank canvas. In exploring Lucid dreaming, Obe's and such, there is a point I found is cross-cultural, experienced as a Void. It's empty(yet not), dark(yet lively), etc., one can experience your own demons(inner or otherwise) and learn alot(or toss the experience out the window). It's a great canvas to work with in terms of bio-feedback, at least for me.
In more spiritual terms, everyone eventually reaches that point where they explore their darkness, and demons(as it may be); then moves on to understanding, then acceptance of these illusionary dark aspects. (As the duality of light-dark is an illusion anyway in too many contexts to name). Also, I've found demonic to be a highly subjective term(and rarely accurate).
I've been called evil, demonic, and dark by um...far too many perhaps(who's counting anyways:P), so I do identify with the topic, but for broad reasons.

some that feel that way because the demons are among us they inhabit this world. Matthew 12:43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

Demons both rule the world..and forgive at the same time..being created as a Demon or the Devil would be pretty hard to deal with/grasp..
its only from ignorance usually at the beginning and end of an initiation that one comes into contact with Demons..
First, because of the un-knowledge of the unknown and the general ignorance of a specific person going through a psychic phase in their lives..
And second to begin to understand the negative half of our existence and begin to cure or recruit the demons to do some honest work for salvation(talking about Messiah levels here)

Thankyou for posting this. I clicked out of curiousity and ended up staying fof the whole thing. Glad I did because that little crescendo at the end about karma and faith in the essential goodness of the universe was exactly what I needed to hear.
To paraphrase: "the treasures of the earth are guarded by spirits that prevent people from getting what they don't deserve. We regard these spirits as demons because they stand between us and what we want... ...Inside every person is a spirit that is trying to be good, and through karma this spirit will eventually win"
Good stuff
