Recently I bought a MushMush grow kit. I finished growing and harvested all the mushrooms I saw and left the Jar along with the colonized mycelium and kept the jar in the same conditions prior to its growing conditions. A week later a large mushroom had grown and harvested it aswell. After the harvest, I left the jar be for a few days incase of any survivors and then ripped the substrate to find any 'shrooms and found none. I left the jar in a dark environment for 6 days and decided to look had the mycelium dried or died and found yet another mushroom. The problem now is that it looked a bit weird on the top a few days ago. The cap had turned more brown than any other one, but not fully brown nor as dark as the ones which did not grow.
Today, the cap had split apart from a few parts and the stem was beginning to crack open.
As of now, I'm wondering is the mushroom eadable? and is the splitting of the cap and cracking of the stem, because of dryness or an infection? Thanks
