Tons of pins:) some opening veils though:( HELP PLZ

Ok so here's the scoop... This project is cased rye grain cased with 50/50 coir/verm. Parameters closely monitered. I harvested first flush about 4 days ago and had tons of tiny pins I left on the casing. Ieft for three days and returned yesterday to another 15 full size mushies. I picked those and flooded the tray for an hour with distiller water to replenish moisture. There's a few hundred pins growing, but some pins are opening their veils and maturing at pin stage, while others are growing normally. My first flush I had a small fruit problem, but the ones from the second flush are getting to bigger sizes. I used Cambodian ms. As you can see I have tons of pins and I'd like to get them to grow lol. Anyone have any tips? Also my trays starting pulling away from tray during first flush, so I cut away some of the tray to give them room to grow. I'm a noob and this is my first grow so please take it easy on me lol any info or questions would be appreciated:)

hey man, first of all, the substrate shrinks as it is consumed for food, its not going to grow back. secondly, dont use sponsor names when youre talking about growing cubes, because thats not what they are sold for (dont worry, im sure you didnt know) and to your problem, you will see these sort of uneven results with MS, while tiny fruits can be attributed to a too moist or dry substrate, unless you isolate strains you dont know what youll get. hope this helps, you should get into agar, look up pastywhytes easy agar tek. it will be worth the work to get the consistent results you will see with agar. hope this help, congrats on the successful aspects of your grow!

Give a quick read of the forum rules. Edit the OP and take out vendors name. Remember spores are for microscopy use only!
It looks like they're getting insufficient FAE. How often are you misting and fanning, or is that automated? What tek did you follow for your FC? Can you get a better pic of the FC as well.

Lol sorry for the nub mistake I'll fix that. I'm misting 3x a day and fanning about 5 ish. I used sgfc based tek for fc 1/4 in holes every 2 inch on each side covered by micropore tape. 3 in perlite on bottom. Also added a small fish pump hose with holes in it to increase fae and humidity.

Here's a good link that explains the FC in a little more detail than most teks do. Give it a good read. An optimal FC is 1/4'' drilled holes spaced every 2 inches in a grid style pattern, on all 6 sides. The FC is then elevated to let the magic happen.

Also like I said, I was gone for three days and they were fanned only 3x while I was gone. You think the fae from that period may have caused a few to stress out and open?

not to cause confusion, and correct me if im wrong, but i thought tall spindly fruits were a sign of lacking fae as the shrooms are trying to esscape the high co2 levels near the substrate.

FAE is absolutely crucial for healthy fruits. They weren't stressed. Without proper FAE there was probably an excess build up of co2 which could have caused those fruits. Also MS genetics could be the culprit like stated before.

Yes, get more holes in there. Make sure to have them on all SIX sides. Elevate it with a few empty jars. Remove that tape, fruiting is not a sterile procedure.

One more question. When I do harvest this flush do I remove all pins or just the ones that opened? Like it hasn't exactly been solid flushes, more like a perpetual harvest with like 40 mushrooms maturing at a time. I know this is due to ms, but how should I go about harvesting? Just take en as they mature?
