One time when I was a member of this forum I posted a pic of me from my twitter and Instagram account and this weirdo found my accounts. It really creeped me out and I don't know how he did it, he said he did it by using my pic code or somehow. Can someone elaborate on how it's possible to do that?

He probably back traced the pics.

AFAIK that is related to the file's EXIF data.

What if I took a screenshot and then cropped it and then posted it on imgur. Would they be able to back trace it then back to twitter or Instagram?
Like what if I took a screen shot my own pic from twitter and then modified it on MS paint and then uploaded it on imgur would it be able to be backtracked then?

Hey can one of you guys answer? I'm real paranoid.
So if I post a pic of me on here from my twitter but the pic I uploaded is from my desktop and it was acquired with a screen shot and modified and cropped on MS pain can it still be back traced to my twitter?

There is this thing called image search on google... So yeah, it could. You just upload the image and it finds similar ones. Twitter is indexed by google so your twitter profile would come up.

Not nessecarily. I am weirdly paranoid about people finding my identity online and wanted to share a pic of something that I had posted other places. I had to crop it to stop reverse image searches from finding it. Depends on how you crop it though. Computer doesn't recognize specific features like a human would, what is the same pic to us, is not the same to them. You have to edit the pic significantly enough so that it doesn't look the same to the computer.
